  1. Many happy returns Allan - I hope you have a great day matey.......:happybday: Richard:pint:
  2. Ooooh, gotta think about that one matey.... There's not much that needs doing TBH as some chap up your way sorted the last few niggles back in June...
  3. See, you just can't leave us can you Jeff..... Who needs Portugal when the weather here is so nice anyway - now I'd like to bring my ZX up to you for........ Richard:sweatdrop:
  4. Vacuum at idle should show the stock gauge as far to the left as possible (-9 to -14 on the UK boost gauge); on a warmed up engine, as per the "buyer's guide" we have. Somewhere.... You should do that easily Si. I've managed just over 300 at a steady few MPH over that (autobahn, not UK of course).... Sounds like a great trip - get some pics of your car on the Millau Bridge and post them up when you get back...!! Richard:cool2:
  5. That is a bargain!! If they are OEM quality, then what do you have to lose!! Richard:cool2:
  6. Nice black Z Gary - thanks for posting that mate!! And you're dead right mate; the one Si posted looks awesome with the LMs.... Richard:cool2:
  7. Having transferred my private plates to and from several cars over the last 15 years, I can confirm that if the donor car is over 3 years old, then you DO have to have a valid MOT certificate in order to retain or transfer a number plate. The only concession is that DVLA might, at their discretion, permit a plate to be transferred or placed on retention if the latest MOT certificate only expired up to 12 months earlier - but certainly no more...... Edit... .....And I believe only if you were the registered keeper when the last MOT (and tax disc, if that too has expired) ran out!! Richard:cool2:
  8. I'd always have a full wheel allignment check/adjustment done after replacing shocks or springs etc mate... ....And whilst there is a chance that nothing was disrupted during the suspension change, who is to say the settings were right before you started? Richard:cool2:
  9. I kind of do mate - one of my colleagues lives there.... .....It's not a bad little place IIRC; and sufficiently outside of Northampton itself. In fact it's on the west side of the M1, as opposed to Northampton itself, on the other side of the M1 a few miles to the north-east. Richard:cool2:
  10. Heh heh - I know mate... We all are....
  11. Hi Lee, Now his appeal to return is being considered I don't wish to say and prejudice his/her case mate; hence the other posts have now been removed from view. You'll know soon enough - maybe.... Please bear with us..... Richard:cool2:
  12. Welcome to the club Chris!! Richard:thumbup1:
  13. ...."The likes of...." Bloody cheek.... Your appeal has been received - and thanks for your honesty in coming forward. In accordance with forum protocal I will now have to ban this username. However re-registering under another name will not prejudice your chances of appeal. As per my email, the committee will discuss and vote on your return to the club and you'll hear from one of us shortly. Cheers, Richard:yinyang:
  14. LOL - great tech thread as ever matey.... And one can clearly see you're getting into sunshine mode Jeff.... All the best my friend, Richard:thumbup1:
  15. Many happy returns matey!! Richard:cool2:
  16. Looks a great day guys - thanks for sharing. And well done to all who entered!! Richard:cool2:
  17. Sounds impressive to me mate - nice one Allan!! Richard:thumbup1:
  18. That's what I'd do also.....
  19. I'd try somewhere like Allparts - probably cheaper than Halfords and more likely to fit mate!! Otherwise give MJP or Zedworld a call.....
  20. Those will be fine my friend! Richard:cool2:
  21. Sorry to hear that Murdock - I haven't used them for a year or so now, so I am disappointed they did not reply to you. As for Canbus, it is relative to new cars and their modern electric systems. So not relevant to a 300zx mate... Richard:sweatdrop:
  22. Wise words from Pete (and those who suggested offering £1200) - thing is there are 2 extremes... Half the trade will say that; and the other half will bang on about how rare they are and quadruple the price!! We all know which cars should be avoided though... Not mine Mike - my old car left me with a 99-spec front and Azev alloy wheels. After Pistol Pete sold it on, it is now in Sussex, owned by a fella who sometimes frequents the forum under the username "Spanish" That JDM red car looks dead tidy though mate... Richard:cool2:
  23. Welcome to the club Dan.... I wish you well in your search for a 300zx!! Richard:cool2:
