  1. Nice one Derek... ...And to remind those wishing to attend this event, please be advised that 300zx.co.uk is officially supporting/endorsing Zedfest this year. Like Derek says, 2014 is an important year for the Z32, so any suggestions for marking the 25th celebrations at Zed Fest will indeed be greatly appreciated. Richard:cool:
  2. Yep - saw that; it's in the Abbey grounds, we went there to visit the abbey... It was a good day out - and a nice 190 mile round trip for the ZX:biggrin:
  3. Yes Al - I still read "proper" books made from paper... In fact I do not (and will not) own a Kindle or the like - give me the old fashioned ways anytime..... .......I am currently reading an old "James May on Motors" book I picked up for 50p at a 2nd hand bookshop at a National Trust property we visited a couple of weeks ago. I gotta say, Mr May is a pretty good read:wink:
  4. Basically what Andy said.... You need to look at your own situation and ask yourself "Am I [otherwise] happy with my own job/position/remuneration etc?" This is the main reason that all companies keep salary details confidential - and for me, running the company's finance department, I know everyone's pay. Luckily I have always been the objective type and, as long as I am happy with my own "lot," I have never looked at anyone else's wages with envy:wink: And if you do decide on a course of action, your "option 2" is the best staring point. Raise the issue verbally with your own managers - perhaps one with whom you have a good relationship - and then follow it up with an e-mail or letter; highlighting what you discussed, so as to cover your own arse! Good luck mate - I hope you get it sorted. We are all at work for a significant proportion of our lives, so we have to make sure we are happy there! Richard:clover:
  5. Yup - it is amazing isn't it.... ...When I first had my new wheels fitted, the tyre place didn't bother with them (but at least they handed them back); saying that the tapering of the wheelnuts would hold the rims in place OK. WRONG!! I re-fitted them myself and the transformation was quite unbelievable!! Richard:cool:
  6. ......And as for what I did to my ZX - today nothing. But yesterday I went to Battle..... .....Not in the conflict or the challenge sense, but to the town of Battle; near Hastings - for a nice sunny Sunday day out in the ZX!! Richard:cool:
  7. I agree about keeping the car a single colour - but Gary makes a good case for the black bonnet; although I'm not so sure about a black centre panel Steve!
  8. Yup - best bet for new OEM items.... ......They are not cheap though:wink:
  9. Many happy returns mate! Richard:happybday:
  10. That is bloody good Terry...... You could consider a sideline in making those matey!! Richard:thumbup:

  20. Bloody hell - I have only just heard... Whatever the circumstances, it is always sad to see someone pass away so young. RIP Peaches, it should not have happened to you at this stage of your life....
  21. I had a 99-spec OEM bumper retro-fitted to my old red ZX - and that went straight on over the bar too. I kept the OEM UK spec indicators working for a short time - before installing the J-spec front fogs. I never had to remove the bar or anything else.... Richard:cool:
  22. Happy birthday my friend - have a great day!! Richard:happybday:
  23. Many happy returns malkie...... Richard:happybday:
