  1. Seconded - nice work Bri...
  2. PMSL.... That just about sums up my own interest in the storyline too fellas.... And the reason it's all over the BBC? Why, there's been no other Conservative minister (allegedly) up to no good, that they can make a big deal about so far this week..... Hell, if that sort of thing ever happened (and of course it didn't, according to the BBC..) during the Blair years, then it would never have even made the little footnotes at the end of their news bulletins!!! Richard:rofl:
  3. Thanks for the pics folks - it did indeed look a great show; I'm pleased that it was a success!!! The new banners looked fantastic too - thanks to Gary and Lee for organising them with Blackwater Graphics; they really did the club proud, just like everyone who attended this event!! Richard:thumbup:
  4. Yup - same from me.... Top work Mark...
  5. I'm not surprised....!! One question though - with the Ebay items being US spec, are they specifically for LHD cars or can they be adapted for RHD?
  6. Welcome to the club mate!! And get your "yellow" candle-powered headlights upgraded to HIDs; you'll certainly have a better view of the road in the dark:wink: Richard:thumbup:
  7. It's not his fault Tom; it's the daft monkey in the garage who did not select the right car...
  8. Yup - do that..... If the wheel alignment is not right, it will handle like a pig on a skateboard - and (assuming you still have it) the HICAS will most likely not know how to function correctly. Not to mention the effect on tyre wear!! Richard:cool:
  9. Flippin' ' eck mate - that could indeed have been worse for you!!! As careful as we all are, it is just a shame your neighbours, perhaps, weren't so; I hope you get it all sorted with the minimum of hassle. Richard:clover:
  10. Welcome to the club Dan - and I look forward to seeing the pics of your car mate!! Richard:thumbup:
  11. Welcome to the club mate! Richard:cool:
  12. Nice one Dave - I am very pleased for you mate!! And it also shows that sometimes things happen for a good reason; it might not seen so initially, but these matters usually work out for the best in the end:wink: Richard:thumbup:
  13. What he said......
  14. Great find Gaz...... ....And I agree:wink:
  15. The Committee and the Moderation team would like to wish all the club's members and their families a VERY HAPPY EASTER!! Richard:thumbup:
  16. Many happy returns Vern!!! Richard:thumbup:
  17. Yup - if you don't want to go synthetic then stick with Nissan's original choice of a good 10w40 semi..... Castrol magnatec is always a good option:wink:
  18. Welcome to the club mate - and good luck in your search for a 300zx!! Richard:cool:
  19. Only the SWB slick-top to my knowledge.... I doubt there was an intentional road-going light weight variant straight from the factory - as the 300zx was produced as a GT car rather than an out and out sports car....
  20. Ahh - good point matey.... I had the same issue with an Ebay trader selling some side-step bars that I wanted for Julia's Rav..... .....PMSL....
  21. LOL - some great incidents there; kind of makes me feel better that I am not alone in my thinking.... Love the taxi-driver one Tom; Allan, that's a waste of good Stella, matey; Mandy, you are dead right about some men in MPVs - it is generally men and usually they are the really nerdy types - but they still seem to have a complex about another man of similar age to them, who happens to be driving a sports car, as opposed to an MPV!!! Richard:rofl:
  22. I have never really believed that drivers of one make of car are any worse than another - sure, we all joke about BMW/Audi/Volvo drivers etc, but in my experience the majority of those displaying the poorest driving skills seem to own an MPV. Please note, I am not saying MPV drivers are bad - I know several people on here drive one due to family needs etc - hence I worded my statement very specifically... Nor am I saying that my driving skills are anything special - but I try to keep out of other peoples' ways and, when someone else is in my way, I simply pass them at the safest opportunity and with the minimum if fuss (I do have 2 fast cars...) But here's an example of what I mean - yesterday we took the ZX out for a nice trip to Sussex for the day. I was flying along some nice empty country A-roads; yet naturally slowed down for the towns and villages. Through one village, I was pootling along at 30 when out of the blue I was suddenly being aggressively tailgated by someone driving a stupid Toyota Verso thing. I carried on my merry way, observing the 30 limit when he decided to overtake me - on a zebra-crossing - whereupon I saw he had a few children in the car!! Hey ho - I ignored it and carried on. But a mile or so later, on a dead straight and empty 4 mile stretch of road with a 60mph limit, I caught up with the idiot, still doing 40mph. Without fuss, bother or inconvenience to matey-boy, I simply indicated and breezed past on my own merry way once more. Yet this idiot still felt the need to blast his horn and flash his lights several times at me, as I disappeared into the wide blue yonder?? Like I said, some people... And if said Verso driver was someone here, simply acknowledging another ZX driver, forgive me for not responding - I was simply concentrating on my driving:wink: Richard:rofl:
