  1. Happy birthday fella....
  2. Many happy returns mate...:happybday:
  3. Looks damn fine Graham; shame you cannot make Beaulieu but I'll certainly see you at JAE on the Saturday.... .....And then we're heading over to the Island on the Sunday morning, so hopefully we'll catch up with you and Julia again when we're there:cool: Richard:thumbup:
  4. Whatever our individual opinions might be - this ZX is on sale for just shy of £10k and is a genuine UK spec manual with leather, low miles and documented history...... .......So what if some think £10k is excessive - it's cars like this one that will force up the prices of the finest examples left on the road in a few years time. And as members of the 300zx owners' club, surely this is good news for all of us who own tidy, well maintained examples? Whether or not we intend to sell up is irrelevant - it's what makes for us all owning a proper classic car!! Richard:clover:
  5. Yes - and yes...... Sad day indeed if the new owner is breaking the car...
  6. Happy birthday Vig - have a great day mate!! Richard:happybday:
  7. Many happy returns Russ.... Richard:happybday:
  8. Looking damn fine there Baz..... ...I liked the old wheels, but the new ones really set the car off mate. Get it entered for COTM in August - I'd wager you'll have a good chance of winning matey!! Richard:thumbup:
  9. Yup - and some wise words from Noel also....
  10. Or anywhere in The Chilterns TBH Dave.... Fortunately for me, it's a good few miles away - but in principle the whole concept is just pointless....
  11. Some insurers will offer a classic policy without you garaging the car; but as Andrew says, the most important thing it to be honest!! DO NOT say your car is garaged if it is not - as you will not be covered if anything happens to it!! I could have got my Z covered if it was stored on the drive - but as I have a garage (and the Z lives in it), it was slightly cheaper for me having it garaged. However, as I have declared it as being garaged, it is stipulated in my policy, that the car must generally be inside the garage, if left within a specified distance from my home; in order to be covered against theft, vandalism etc. Richard:clover:
  12. Commiserations Andy - but congratulations Craig..... Good to see the car is staying in the club; and I'm 100% certain it's gone to a good home....:clover:
  13. Nice one Mark - looks a tidy number there mate... Good luck with your new toy...:clover:
  14. Agreed.... And much better with the 'tache matey... As for me, today, nothing. But yesterday I gave it a wash with some nice smelling Zymol car shampoo - followed by a coating of Chemical Guys Jet Seal... Did the same on the SLK too - hell they are both looking damn fine afterwards!!!
  15. Don't get me started on that matey.....:rant::death:
  16. Ahh right! The chap in my pub says they are common in South Africa, so that makes sense....
  17. Happy birthday Mark....:happybday:
  18. Nope - I'd keep the Z and spend the money on a more modern sports car as a daily driver.... In fact GTR aside, I'd stick with German metal nowadays, as the Japanese seem to have lost their way as far as decent sports coupes go. Sadly they are more interested in flogging Qashqais, Leafs and Aygos etc., to bother making interesting cars:sad: Agreed Gaz.....
  19. Made my own tonight mate; always love a good old fashioned cod and chips..... I never realised talapia was so popular to be honest - as I've not seen it on the menu in that many plaices (and yes, I meant to spell it like that:lol: ).....
  20. Ahem... Good point Dave!! I love the 99-spec and would upgrade to that all day long - or so I thought until I saw the Stillen Type III lip for the '89 spec. It transforms the original look and does away with the "overbite" appearance. But back on topic, I'd expect to (and would happily) pay circa £200-£250 for a second hand OEM 99-spec bumper with lights:thumbup:
  21. Hmmmmm talapia....... Sorry folks, my local pub serves talapia pan fried in almond butter with sauté potatoes and fresh vegetables. Goes down well with a nice chilled Chablis......
  22. Good grief.......
  23. Happy birthday Anna.....:happybday: ....And nice work Gaz, you actually got people to post on the thread as opposed to just looking and moving on.... Richard:thumbup:
  24. PMSL......
  25. Hey Phil - glad to hear you still have it; and are considering bringing it out of hibernation........ ...... And I agree with the above 100% Richard:thumbup:
