  1. I can believe that Graham; I have been to 4 or 5 Jimmy Carr shows and he always hangs around afterwards to sign programs and chat to his fans. He clearly loves what he does and seems to appreciate the people who buy tickets for his shows. He's certainly one of my favourite comedians of all time!! Richard:cool:
  2. RIP Sir Dickey....
  3. Many happy returns mate! Richard:happybday:
  4. Nope! I have BT Infinity - and so far it has been excellent..... And everything else is fine; I have no issues accessing any other 'sites???
  5. It gets odder - I switched off the Wi-Fi on my phone and used the mobile network to access the 'net instead of home internet.... And it worked! I got my ticket... So it seems like a problem with my broadband provider preventing access to the 'site for some reason....?
  6. LOL - maybe mate!! It's not urgent as I play by direct debit, so I already have my ticket, I just wanted to buy a lucky dip for tonight.... What possible reason could there be that you guys can get on OK but I cannot? I mean every other website I have tried to access today loads up just fine:confused:
  7. Weird - I have tried with both computers and my 'phone and it's the same result...!
  8. Anyone else having trouble accessing the National Lottery website? I have tried several times throughout the day and all I get is a long wait; followed by "This page cannot be displayed....!" Richard:no:
  9. Nice one mate - and thank you for your support!! Richard:thumbup:
  10. I agree - no point paying more for the car and more per litre for fuel if you don't have to; and with only 6k miles per year, you'd certainly not feel the benefit of the better fuel economy of a diesel..... And for £6k, unless you're buying something mental like another Zed, or the like, most other Japanese cars are dull dull dull. The Japanese are only interested in making Micras and Priuses nowadays - stick with German I say.... Richard:cool:
  11. Ahhh never mind - I'll see you there anyway...
  12. You're welcome Mark! Are you bringing it to JAE - it would be good to see it in the metal....
  13. Yup - what Andy said..... ......It's been said before, you'll need an electric fan with one hell of an air-displacement capability to ensure efficient cooling in start-stop traffic conditions in the summer months. Have a chat with Mike at MJP though - I did when my viscous fan failed - but I seem to remember that a suitable electric fan upgrade cost more than a new viscous unit; not to mention the costs to install the conversion! Richard:cool:
  14. Looking good there Mark....
  15. I once heard that a fresh re-build should be run with mineral oil for the first 500 miles; as synthetic and semi-synthetic oils have lower wear properties, therefore don't allow the bearings etc to bed in as well...... ......But then many a brand new car will be filled with the right grade of synthetic oil from the off; which kind of puts that theory to bed:wink: But you certainly won't do any harm with a mineral oil (of the right grade) if you're taking it easy over the first couple of hundred miles; as long as you do an oil and filter change with a decent semi or fully synthetic thereafter! Richard:cool:
  16. Welcome to the club Ben - and I look forward to the pics... .....Good luck with your new toy mate!! Richard:thumbup:
  17. Not sure mate.... ....Lee 7-star or whatever his name was (the guy Si bought his car from) had it for ages; advertised it on Ebay for ever-more inflating prices and pretty much slated this club and its members in his ad. Please, if you (or anyone else) find the ad - just view it and leave it that; please do not post a link to it on here!! I had to ban "Lee" (not his real name:rolleyes: ) some years back, therefore we have issue with him being given free publicity for his attempts at selling Zelda on this forum. Shame, as it could still be a nice car for someone - but that's where we are:wink: Richard:cool:
  18. LOL....."is" my learned friend:wink: ..........Although I do believe they also have a facility in Maidenhead as they were advertising a job vacancy I might have considered last year!! Richard:cool:
  19. Whilst I have not seen one in the metal, I am inclined to agree.... .......All electric cars suffer this IMO. Why not just make them "car shaped" instead of some daft futuristic bubble, like the Leaf and Prius? McLaren has done well with their new hybrid supercar - ditto Porsche - so why not BMW....?
  20. Agreed - we have not organised tickets through the club for some time now..... We don't get any club discount - so there is no benefit to it; not to mention the administration involved in getting numbers down, chasing in payments and then buying and posting out in time.... And with many people often undecided until the last minute, buying a set number in advance is always a gamble, as we could never guess how many to purchase in order not to lose out. Richard:cool:
  21. Happy birthday for yesterday Paul.... Richard:cool:
  22. A belated happy birthday Graham.....:happybday: I was out with some guys from work last night, so did not get the chance to log on, on the day.... Hope you had a good one though!! Richard:dance:
  23. Nice one matey - that is one of my favourite Zeds; and certainly the best wide-arch on the forum at the moment.... Congrats on your purchase:hyper:
  24. He is - he's the kind of guy that makes you laugh lust looking at him (I don't mean that in a bad way - he's just naturally a funny person)... Glad you enjoyed it Graham!! Richard:cool: PS I have re-opened the thread.... For some reason it was closed:wink:
