Advice on work and rant!!!!
Looks that way - but DO NOT do anything rash mate..... Whilst things tend to go the employee's way at many tribunals, walking out and claiming constructive dismissal should always be the last resort..... Maybe, but not always.... Some good advice has been offered already; and from what you are saying, your employer may be imposing unreasonable demands on you. If you have your employment offer letter to hand - along with a copy of the contract that has supposedly been put to you for signature - please feel free to e-mail it to me. Give me your number as well - perhaps I might be able to help and advise; I am not bad with HR related matters... It's richardsmith at 300zx.co.uk Richard:clover:

I spotted today at the petrol station.......
In your Z, I can understand that as you hardly use it... But in the daily driver - surely not...? Life is far too short to spend standing next to my car at a filling station - so it's full tank every time; and when the needle drops to the red, I carry on a bit further. When the light comes on, hell I can probably make it another 30 miles. When I have done another 30 miles, panic begins to set in, but I resist until I have achieved a reasonable number of miles since the last fill up.... And only then do I fill up once more - only to find that I still had about 4 litres left, hence I could have managed another 20 miles...

I spotted today at the petrol station.......
What Gary said. That or a garage courtesy car..... I was given a brand new Merc CLS350 CDi Shooting Brake last year - and did the same thing before giving it back! But yes, it could have looked really odd putting just £10 worth of diesel into a £50k motor.... That aside, I wonder why some people do still put £20 or £30 in their cars instead of brimming the tank. Hell, even if you just drive the car to work and back etc, you are always going to use the same amount of fuel in total; which means you still spend the same amount of money over a fixed period regardless.... So you might as well fill up to the max, if only to reduce the time wasted in petrol stations!! Richard:wink:

Speedo
Compared to what - I assume you are checking it to your sat-nav or other GPS device? Normally, speedometers over-read...!! I believe they can be calibrated, I seem to remember something about an adjustment potentiometer - but I'm sure someone will clarify that shortly! Richard:clover:

Insurance - Keith Michaels
Yup - they're a brokers and have been going for some time now. What matters more, is which company is actually providing/underwriting the insurance.... Since most brokers pick policies from similar insurers, it all comes down to which one gets the best deal at the time you're looking to insure. If the policy is with a credible insurer and has everything that you need included, go for it.... And thanks for the heads up - as mine is due for renewal mid-Sept.. Richard:cool:
