Harrison Ford in plane crash
Get well soon Indiana..... Sorry, I mean Harrison....:flowers: By all accounts he did a great job of guiding the plane away from populated areas and onto that golf course..... Richard

0-60
I agree.. ....there are a number of factors to consider. Firstly the age, mileage and condition of the engine and running gear. Next, even if you up BHP to (a measured) 450+, it will only have a noticeable effect on the 0-60 time if the power increase occurs at the right point in the rev range. If all the extra power comes in at (say) 5000rpm, then you might shave off the odd tenth. You'll probably see a bigger top speed; and maybe a better 0-100 or standing quarter....... Richard:cool:

What's going on here....!!??
As much as I'm happy with my Zed, I do occasionally check out Autotrader to see what's for sale in the world of the Porsche 928s4. Last year, you could still buy a decent example with little over 100k miles for around £10k..... http://www.autotrader.co.uk/search/used/cars/porsche/928/postcode/hp160su/radius/1501/onesearchad/used%2Cnearlynew%2Cnew/quicksearch/true ....But now they are fetching almost £20k!! I don't want to start another thread about Zed prices - but wouldn't it be good to see the same thing happen there:wink:

Dvla morons
Glad you got it sorted Graham..... ....And indeed, agree with the moral of the story! Trouble is, in my experience, local authorities and government agencies are "equal opportunity employers." Consequently you do, occasionally, get to have your case dealt with by Joe Numbnut; who is only able to deal with anything if it follows procedure to the letter - as opposed to someone else using common sense to work within the spirit of what should have happened..... We're all human; so it's a relief when you do get to speak with another capable human who understands the issue and is able to work with you in resolving it!! Richard:cool:

What did you do to your zed today?
Not really mate..... I had used the fuel previously in the tank; and had to re-fill in order to go out! I still have about 2/3 left....

What did you do to your zed today?
Filled it with petrol (I had been driving it all week, last week...... ) and took a trip to Blenheim Palace!!

Is the punishment befitting if the crime?
A £220k fine is not exactly going to hurt Thames Water; but is the fine of key relevance considering the damage caused? The most important thing would be for TW to have been ordered to put everything right - to pre-incident conditions, at their cost, in reasonable time; and to the satisfaction of the court passing the verdict (and/or the court's advisors). What I'm getting at, is would even a £220 million fine have been adequate if the damage done, remains done.....?

opinion needed
Golf vs Accord....... Always a Golf IMO; I would imagine the Golf would be the easiest to sell on - even if it's a petrol guzzling V5.

What do you think?
PMSL.....

What do you think?
Now that I have also seen the furore surrounding this - on a day when we hear that immigration is higher than government promises, Gary Glitter gets handed a 16 year jail sentence, Jihadi John's identity is exposed and the great Mr Spock passes away - I have answered my own question. It wasn't actually a slow news day... So upon seeing the picture my answer is "both." I tilt my laptop screen one way, it's blue and black; I tilt it another then it's white and gold...... .... So there we are. Mystery solved......:whistling:

RIP Dr Spock
Indeed..... RIP Mr Nimoy. You lived long and prospered....

Importing something yourself.
Dead right.... .....Not only are there fewer Z32s in Japan; but 10 years ago, the Z32s were around 10-15 years old and grey import cars were big business. Not so much now they are 20-25 years old though - and for that matter, just how many cars (of any marque) are being imported from Japan compared to 10 years ago? I haven't seen half the import dealers that used to be dotted around the country; and I suspect those cars which are being brought over are much newer stuff like 350zs 370zs GTRs even. Something where the dealers can still turn a profit becayse there's value in them.
