scratch remover / swirl remover recomendations
Depending on the depth of the scratch (as mentioned above), the either Maguiar's Scratch-X or Farecla G3.... .....But is you can feel the scratch with your finger-nail, then sadly Lexx is right. Although you might be able to have a smart-repair, depending on the position.

Friday Night YouTube
And even though (probably) I've posted it before, this one too.... One of my all time favourite songs - and all sounding good in the afternoon sunshine; against the engine soundtrack, with the sun in my face, heading home for the weekend.....

Friday Night YouTube
Since it's all been quiet on this thread for a few weeks, allow me to re-boot it a little..... .....I was listening to this on the way home today. Whizzing through The Chilterns on a Friday afternoon, sun shining, roof down, wind gently massaging my (ahem) scalp; it felt good..... Richard:cool:

Bit of a bright spark!!

Boot decal - which colour?
Ditto - mine's a UK spec anyway so it would have been "Nissan" and "Twin Turbo" originally..... But I left off the "Nissan" badge, just to keep people guessing...

Good car wax
Like Alex, I have mixed feelings about Autoglym SRP. It's a fine "all in one" polish and provides limited protection; but it does not do any single thing very well, when compared to more specialist products. Upon the advice of Peach - a highly respected detailer on here - I have used chemical Guys Jet Seal as a paint sealant with superb results. It's easy to apply and gives long lasting protection. Afterwards - say a week later and after washing the car once more, I like to apply a coat or two of wax. I have just discovered Valet Pro's "Beading Marvellous" and I am extremely impressed with it so far. Plus at circa £30 for a 250ml pot, it's good value as well..... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Valet-Pro-Beading-Marvellous-Carnauba-Car-Wax-250ml-FREE-CLOTH-PAD-/181601247714?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item2a484721e2 I've just ordered my second pot (3 cars to cover) - and after a couple of coats, water and grime just slides off. My work colleagues are often dazzled by my cars and always ask me how they stay looking so good....

Make my zed look better
Don't laugh matey - that can actually work, especially if the rubber has become porous as it has aged.....!! In fact the type of shoe polish formulated for football boots might be better, as it has superior water resistance:wink:

New presenter
So say I too..... ....Not entirely in agreement with the hamster comment - as the "old" three worked well together. But if the BBC is serious about reviving TG in a different format, then Chris Evans is a good choice. He's not my favourite presenter, but he's a true petrol head so that's a good start. I sincerely hope the Beeb does not go down the PC route and just select his co-presenters purely on the grounds of equality or diversity; but instead chose upon merit and compatibility with the target audience. Guy Martin would be good - if I could understand a word he says - and after "For The Love of cars, Philip Glenister would not be bad either! They'll not be better than the Three Amigos in my eyes; but if I'm honest that format had run its course and a change was long overdue. Good luck to the new team - and yes, I'll also reserve my final judgement until I have seen the first episode. The "old old" Top Gear was ruined by the introduction of new presenters and the humdrum "reviews" of humdrum cars. As a petrol head myself, I really could not give a stuff about the latest Focus or Golf - I can drive one myself at the local dealers and/or read about them in WhatCar etc.... I'd rather watch TV to be entertained. And there's very little on TV that really entertains nowadays....
