  3. Agreed - it could have been much worse; but the plane is repairable and the pilot lived to fly again. Bloody skilful pilot though; to land such an aircraft in those circumstances....

  5. LOL - great idea in principle Joel...... .....But (1) it's probably a tad ambitious that it might be completed in time for next year..... ......And (2) Like the USA, in a thousand years, is going to allow a fixed road link between its own shores and Russia....:wink:

  9. Indeed - but just checking, you mean without our cars, right.....
  10. Just over 300km/h driving someone else's tuned Mk4 Supra - and still accelerating, but I had to brake before I ran out of (ahem) track...!
  11. Happy birthday indeed Bernie - I hope Lee is spoiling you today....:happybday: Richard:thumbup:
  12. Red, white and blue..... ......And three of my favourite cars in the entire club.... Sorry I had to pull out of this:sad:
  13. You can do that Kev - you just have to remember to declare it as SORN'd when not taxed!
  14. RIP Jules - a sad loss of a young life.....
  15. Looking good guys.... ...And doing the club mighty proud. Sorry to hear about Chris's car though:sad:
  16. Yup - what he said..... .....Mine was £230 when I renewed on 1/2/2015; so no change!
  17. And me - that will look good at the....... thing we discussed by PM yesterday... Kind of mate - but not the usual thing. All will be revealed later when the pics go up.....!
  18. Hi and welcome back Jamie.... .....I'll try and locate your old account and merge them together if you like mate. And if you were subbed before, then if you decide to do so again, you'd only have to pay the "renewal" as opposed to a new sub. Let me or Jaikai know what you want to do! Richard:cool:
  19. Yup - a few cars had that function in the UK back in the 80s and 90s..... There's no automatic function - they are either on or off according to the switch...... .....I didn't on either of my UK cars. The dim-dip simply didn't work anymore as there was insufficient power to start the ballast units when only the side lights were on - that said, my current UK spec is a 1994 series 2, so maybe it never had dim-dip in the first place. The old (1991) red one definitely did; I remember trying the lights after wiring in just one HID unit. When I turned on the side lights, the halogen beam came on dim-dip as usual and the HID just flickered like a fluorescent light being switched on!!
  20. ....And you know that some of us are going to do that right now..... .....and regret it ....:nono:
  21. Yup - lucky escape this time mate.....:clover: .....Someone was watching out for you today!!
  22. Very smart Gary....
