Unless it is actually overheating (high temp gauge reading) and/or losing coolant, then don't worry about the aux fan. With ambient temperatures in the 30s and the AC running, the aux fan will cut in. It needs to, to help keep the AC gas cool, thus keep you cool inside the car:wink:

Yes - Andrew's post is bang on; best case you'll suffer from vibration, similar to that experienced when your wheels are out of balance. At worst, stud failure. The lesson is, if your wheels require spigot rings to ensure they sit squarely on the hub ALWAYS fit them...:wink:

.......Not for the Zed, but the SLK. For some reason, MB wheels can have the nasty habit of showing corrosion around the centre holes - and I had noticed a couple of spots appearing. I happened to be near the main dealers the other day and popped in to bring it to their attention - and what do you know, they have agreed to replace them under warranty! So I now have 4 brand new shiny AMG alloys winging their way from Germany - result! Richard:cool:

Nooooo :tongue: It was 37 degrees when I left work today........!! Granted, I was not in the Zed; but unless you're putting the car on a track regularly, if your AC works then keep it. I would not consider owning a car without it:wink:

Isn't the "official" curb weight something like 1584kg.....? And whilst ICE might make a few kg difference, the amount of fuel in the tank will alter the weight by circa 0-70kg between empty and full.....

Today nothing - I was going to take the Zed out, but since I washed and waxed it yesterday (after driving it 300 miles last week) and it's raining here now, I have left it in the garage; nice and shiny...:biggrin:
