  1. What he said....
  2. Wow - awesome work matey....
  3. Sadly, this is all just as we should have come to expect..... ....GTR, Lexus LFA and (when it arrives) the new NSX aside, Japan has long since lost the plot with decent sports cars. Nissan, Toyota and Honda are just interested in making beige cars for greying folks who care more for comfortable shoes, trousers and care homes. That, and families with 4-plus kids who want an MPV. Only Mazda has kept up, by persevering with the MX5 - as good as it is, it's too far down on any real power to qualify for a proper sports/super car. Even in the hot hatch market, as good as the new Honda Civic Type R appears - it's never really going to be as good as the Golf R. Fast, it might be - but 300bhp+ through the front wheels (compared to the 4x4 Golf); and quality of finish? No contest!! Sorry - but despite being a Jap-car aficionado since 1994, Germany is the choice of today. You want a top-notch, quality, Japanese sports coupe - then you have to go retro; with the Z32, the Supra, the 3000GT, the RX7 and the mighty NSX. Unless you want to spend ££s, then you have the GTR and (if you have really deep pockets), the LFA!
  4. Yup - what Steve said.... People jump on every passing band-wagon; and the authorities just capitulate and pass laws, so as to be seen to be doing something.
  5. LOL - what he said..... .....And congrats on the new title matey!! Now, if you can just do a little more to have your title recognised, you might be able to get exemption from taxes, jury service, prosecution from the odd murder....
  6. Wow - you're a brave man for trying that mate..... And nice work, I reckon.... ....Me, I'd have picked up the 'phone to Mondo:wink: Richard:thumbup:
  7. Hi and welcome Dave..... .....And good luck in your search for a 300zx! Richard:cool:
  8. Many happy returns mate! Richard:happybday:
  9. Looking dead good there Lee....... And no; I've not experienced such severe wind problems, that my Zed's bonnet flew either up or down....
  10. Fair enough mate....
  11. Noooooo :sad::crying: Hope you get it sorted Gaz; I know how you've kept these wheels over the last few years!!
  12. Looking at your map mate, I'd have said to drop SE onto the M60 towards Stockport and then continue on the more southern approach via Rotherham and Worksop down to the A1. It looks like it will knock a fair few miles off the journey - and bearing in mind, you'll be hitting the roads fairly early on a Saturday morning, traffic should not be too bad. Just my thoughts - I'm not local to that area; I am simply looking at the shortest route....
  13. It was a sad occasion indeed... But generally these events do not tend to end in such a tragic way. My thoughts are with those who lost loved ones - and whilst safety must always remain the priority - I sincerely hope this does not mean the end to our (otherwise) great air shows...
  14. I don't bother with snow foam or pressure-washing - my cars generally don't get dirty enough to need that; and they are always sporting a few coats of wax, which keeps them cleaner. That said, I might pressure-wash the underside and wheel arches during the winter to prevent mud and salt build-up. Zymol car shampoo is fantastic - and smells great too - plus it does not strip off your wax:wink: And after taking advice from Peach on here, I apply Chemical Guys Jet Seal after polishing but before waxing. 2 coats of Jet Seal, leave for 24 hours and then apply a decent carnauba wax - and for the hell of it, I'll re-apply the wax every 4-6 weeks on the SLK and Land Rover; but 3 monthly on the Zed (as it's not outside every day). I currently use Valet Pro Beading Marvellous - and it is...... Plus at £30 on Ebay, it's a bargain!
  15. As Joel says, use the brackets to bolt the head unit inside the dash - although the OEM brackets will be a better fit. No drilling or messing about is required, the OEM brackets old the stereo in the right place And if you're not using the "cage" supplied with the head unit, it should fit neatly inside the new DD facia without the need to file any of the plastic away - and you'll not need the plastic "finisher" supplied with the head unit either! My Interior Innovations facia should arrive soon - I hope I get on better with that, than with the Z-thirtytwo version!
  16. I've just ordered that one too Paul - where did you mount yours? I was thinking on the auto-shifter plate, where the sport button would be on a J-spec....
  17. As Dave says..... .....Change it for peace of mind. And ALWAYS use the OEM kit - Nissan says replace at 60k miles, but if you've no history, then do it ASAP.
  18. Not from me matey - I have not changed brake components for a while now......
  19. Well, he's finally accepted my position and offered me a full refund without the need to return the cable! Russ has sent me a good link, so I'll buy the item I actually wanted - cheers mate! Richard:thumbup:
  20. This, I think......:whistling:
  21. Excellent find!!
  22. Many happy returns Graham - I hope you have a great day mate....:hyper: Richard & Julia....:happybday:
  23. Happy birthday Paul! Richard:happybday:
  24. I ordered this adaptor - so could install a USB port in the Zed, connected to my head unit. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/391206888063?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2648&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT As a bonus, it also has the "aux in" input - which is good, as on my head unit, the socket is at the back. Result! Until it arrived and came fitted with 3 phono jacks; as opposed to the single jack in the picture. I contacted the seller and he just said "you can return it at your cost for a refund!" I pointed out again, that he sent an item different to that in his picture - to which the cheeky fooker replied "I ordered the wrong item because I lack common sense" and still demands I return it at my own cost if I want a refund. Granted, it only cost me £5.88 - but it's the principle. He's incompetent, not me!! Fookwit....:nono:
