Yes indeed..... …..and as for hiding the number plate - anyone viewing the car will see it anyway; and [hopefully] perform the same checks when they get home! Trouble is, you visit the dealer, he spins the old line about someone else coming to view in half an hour - desperate to buy etc. etc.... And before you know it, you've placed a deposit. When you get home, it may be too late!! Sure, legally you'd be entitled to your money back - as the vehicle was clearly mis-represented in the advert. But in practice...? That could take a while to resolve. So if you are caught in that dilemma, try to pay the deposit by credit card!! At least you can get your money back from the card provider:wink:

We can keep anything, if those specific members give us [written] permission to do so. Under GDPR - as far as my understanding goes - a member (or former member) can write to us, asking what information we hold on them; and can then demand we delete it (or part f it). We have to comply with such demands and requests within a set reasonable time.

Hi Jeff, Thanks for the comment - and no; I don't think you are being harsh or against the spirit of the forum. And yes; it does concern us. We have discussed these matters at the last couple of AGMs and among ourselves thereafter. What we are all agreed upon, is that we do need a change of image. We have decided upon the "owners club" road, as opposed to a forum; but have not really had the time - or if I'm honest, the impetus to take that next step. And another year has rolled by, with the 2018 AGM in just over a week. Whilst we also note the members vs active members comment, we are all very much aware of this; indeed I have that same thought when filling out the NEC show application each year. Not for a moment do I kid myself that we have 10,000 members; I just work on the 500.... And in all honesty, looking at the online traffic and subscription receipts, that sounds optimistic... :wink: We are all too aware that membership will dwindle as the cars become fewer and far between.... We also still have the same plans to refresh the forum look..... ….And with the AGM on Sunday 15th, we will once again look to the members for what they would like to see from us as a club and forum. You may dare sir! I did toy with a black "Z" on a silver background - and may still order another set to compare - but my first thought was to go for red, to coordinate with my nose panel and steering wheel badges.

Made to order, both in size and colour, and delivered in three days - can't go wrong with that!!

Yup - I concur..... …..Except for the brief time I thought about replacing my Mk3 with Mk4 - and still I decided on a 300zx....:wink:
