  1. The 350z is looking like a bargain purchase indeed - a bit like the 300zx was a few years back. As said above though, the Z33 was made in much bigger numbers than the Z32; plus it became a victim of mega-road tax for 2006+ models. Unlike the big-engined German sports cars, Nissan did nothing to bring the CO2 emissions down, so they got hit for £500 per year road tax...
  2. Happy birthday Craig - I hear it's a big one this year..... Have a great day mate:happybday: Richard & Julia...
  3. Agreed - nice going Mike!! I have managed a meagre 42,000 miles in my blue Zed since buying it from PhilP in August 2009. It had covered 69,917 miles when I collected it, I passed 70k on the long drive south, and now it's done just over 111,000 miles. I bought my first Zed in June 2003 - which had done around 58,000 miles IIRC (below 60k, anyway) I sold it to Pistol Pete in August 2009 with around 95-98,000 miles.... So I have c79,000 Zed-miles under my belt in 16 years. And have enjoyed (pretty much) all of them
  4. Cool - don't forget the obligatory pictures.... Nice work Craig....:clover: Excellent Mike - and the Zed is looking fine too mate...
  5. Nice - bit like a hearse, bit it adds to its charm..... …...However I prefer this option. Big-engined, German turbo-diesel autobahn-stormers - hate to say it, but they would give a stock Z32TT a hard time...
  6. Good price Gaz...
  7. Admiral now offer classic policies - and you can combine them with your regular cars on a multi-car policy..... They weren't the cheapest for my Zed, but going with them brought down the premiums on our daily drives. I insure the Zed (all mods declared), Julia's Evoque and my SLC43-AMG all for £800.
  8. Yup - happened to my OEM speakers too Chris!! Check your rears as well - assuming they are OEM - and replace them at the same time. I have a pair of Hertz 6x4s for the rear, in good condition, if you need some.....
  9. Agreed.... Fantastic looking Zed mate...
  10. Hi and welcome back Jon.....
  11. Happy birthday for yesterday Paul - hope you had a good one mate...:happybday: Richard:thumbup:
  12. Retro estate - for me, as well as retro, it would have to be fast and subtle.... The Terminator - Volvo T5R.... Or an early Audi RS4, if you fancy a bit of 4wd stability. Subaru Imprezza or Stagea fit the bill too. If you're looking a the E-Class, unless you go bonkers with an AMG, stick with the 350 diesel; it's a nice v6 CDi turbo with a decent turn of speed, but also returns reasonable economy. Nice, but I'd go for something a bit madder:wink:
  13. Hi and welcome, Ralf - and JeffTT offers sound advice, after many many years of working on these cars.....
  14. Excellent advice - and thanks Jeff...…!! I was wondering whether to use clamps and the like - but I'll just do this:thumbup: Might even replace the section of rubber hose after the filter too:cool:
  15. Looking good Rob - and those Azevs look lovely in anthracite!! Richard:thumbup:
  16. Happy birthday Lee - have a great 40th mate...:happybday: Richard:thumbup:
  17. Many happy returns Kevin - have a good one mate!! Richard:happybday:
  18. I have to admit that too..... I did Japfest many many years ago in my Supra; I did attempt it a few years back in my blue Zed.... However despite leaving home nice and early, when I got within the last few miles of Castle Coombe, the traffic was so bad that I gave up after sitting for over an hour; I turned round and drove straight home:sad: But Silverstone is but half an hour or so from me - so that, and the potential lap of honour, were a big draw for me. I shall probably still attend though - if only because up the road:wink:
  19. Nice work Mike....
  20. Nice find Gary..... Good to know we are in that top ten:thumbup:
  21. Excellent - thanks for the update Mike; sounds good indeed!!
  22. Great news Mike - and where did you source your new MAF from....? Not that I need one yet (well, the mesh on mine does have a little ding in it), but Ebay is full of Chinese copies, so with OEM supplies apparently dwindling, all knowledge of potential outlets is useful..!!!
  23. Welcome to the club Andrew - and congratulations on your new purchase!! As for the lowest mileage Zed in the UK.... You're certainly a contender, but I know of one or two more:wink: There's a certain black, UK spec car, once owned by the Sultan of Brunei - and now back on UK soil - which has a genuine 11k miles on the clock!
  24. Glad it's back with you Lee - and very sad to hear you need to spray it again....
