  1. These will be available a week today in Aus from Cazracing mate ;) cheers smithy
  2. Glad yer like em boys ;) Luverly Shiny Stainless steel with choice of coloured Anodised fixings or stainless steel fixings. All side curves and ridges as per stock unit, hard to do but worth it for the effect :hyper: Oh and Steve, yer probably better using Alsa Chrome paint for the remaining parts, it is a true chrome too, used this on mine before adding the top candy coat and Gold ghost flake. cheers smithy
  3. For those who like some exclusive bling which kinda looks classy with the ole gold lasering IMO. Just some quick piccies for now, but you get the idea ;) Pricing to be confirmed on Monday. What yer think folks ? cheers smithy

Unfortunately chinese whispers years ago speculating what he did or didn't do. FYI no HE didn't do the work that was the cause of so much mud slinging around here gods know how many years ago. Man things move on....... Mike like you i've seen the results of work done by different companies specialist or not, trader here or not too and at times am amazed at what goes on  In fairness there isn't realy a trader here you would use for one reason or another, garages are garages and we all know what goes with them from time to time, you just gotta work out whose best for YOURSELF personally, by that I mean the members here, who obviously are all happy with whom/whoever they presently use ;) fingers crossed this doesn't end up same as other threads seeing as it was okay for most of it! smithy
  5. Nah it's no problem, am not there though :D simply paypal to smithy@manx.net ( no fees) and they will leave in the morning for yer. cheers smithy
  6. 11b's not distributed by NGK in the UK, these have a slightly longer shroud than the 11c, the longer shroud further aids towards avoiding detonation. 11c's you can buy almost anywhere, 11b's not so many places, infact I dunno who else besides me :D cheers smithy
  7. oo eh Mrs that's a big un :D You got PM bud, Thanks for the offers chaps  smithy
  8. If anyone is planning on driving from Nottingham area through to anywhere in the northwest near liverpool or Morecambe and in a large-ish vehicel, please let me know. Got a Zed bonnet all boxed up which am trying to get back to isle of man, getting it collected from Northwest area is easier than Nottingham. Box size is approx 6in thick, 50in wide and 60in wide, so won't fit in a Zed ;) Likewise anyone in the Northwest who will happily keep the box in their garage for a day or 2 whilst I arrange collection, that would be good too ;) I'll owe yer :duffer: cheers smithy
  9. Am only going on what i can vaguely remember myself mate, but yes a small mod required on bellhousing and something out spacing out the starter from the fly ?? search and you'll find it ;) cheers smithy
  10. Am really not wanting to make matters worse fella BUT, tbh 355mm discs is real hard to fit in most 18" wheels at the best of times, 324mm discs fit in some 17's and most 18's, so with yours being 31mm bigger, it really was a squeeze in the 1st place. Only sure way of knowing for cases like this is to measure the INSIDE diameter of the rim and the supplier can tell you what distance is the minimum requirement from the manufacturer. You can machine 5mm of the outer diameter of the disc for about 20 quid, then reduce the thickness of the mounting bracket of caliper to suit, it's not too hard. Same thing happened to me, only I knew the fitment was gonna be real tight to begin with, but doing the above worked a treat ;) Given that i doubt you can now return them, slight alteration is the best option. Or as a last resort, sell em to Jason and buy the KAD 6 pot kit for the R32, same kinda money and delivery within a week for any colour options. smithy
  11. Man there are many options for replacement SMIC's and to be honest all will reduce the intake charge temperature for you. The vast majority including stillen went taller or wider, with stillen being taller by at least 3ins, this part of the cooler sits behind the indicator cluster but still has the outlets in stock position and all of these types use aftermarket ducts. Greddy however went thicker instead, 3 times thicker than stock ! these however will allow the use of stock fitment ducts should you wish AND can easily be fitted without removing the bumper. :) All the well known branded ones usually come as a kit with new hose bands and connectors etc too. The Pace ones as far as i know were initially manufactured for Silvia engineering (SE) and appear to be quite large,(possibly HKS sized) I think it's also just the coolers and nowt else which kinda helps keep them cheaper than the US/Jap ones. At the end of the day though, it's not always a case of "bigger is better" as the entire frontal area should be saturated with cold air to be efficient. Core design used is very important as is outlet/inlet design and positioning, these factors are what give the highest flow rates. I've not seen anywhere on the net that provides the rates of all the various coolers and that includes the Pace, only dimensions. However Greddy do state what core and design they use. ARC SMIC's have been tested and shown to be very high performing on the Zed as they also altered the design slightly for increased flow, however they are the most expensive SMIC's on the market and generally only used by the higher BHP cars. TBH I very much doubt the average bloke is going to know which cooler performs better than another without Rolling road testing as the difference on the road would be extremely hard to tell by anyone. IMO, go with a known brand that is easiest for you to fit but still known to perform well too, unless your chasing 600 + you'll be fine.. Hope that helps :) smithy
  12. :D Drop Vince a line mate seeing as he's in Nottingham, he's had loads braided hoses made up for his engine bay, I know your probably using different fittings and high pressure etc, would imagine the company may do what yer after though. Soz can't be of more help.. smithy
  13. Am very happy with the Howe, as is Vinz I reckon :) As for the shroud, there hasn't been one on my Z for over 8 years and most of that time was the stock rad. My temps never really go beyond 80 odd degrees.Often lower.. Don't forget it's purpose was also to prevent peeps sticking their hands infront of the vicous fan.... smithy
  14. Thankyou, I'll pass that on :) cheers smithy
  15. Deffo mate, I think with yours being a UK spec as well, you often see the rear sills section rust away and if left untreated it moves inward under the rear suspension unit and into the rear floor pan. Worth removing rear seat and pulling the carpet back to check for any signs. Have seen a couple of cars at Zedworld where the rust had travelled across rear floor pan so much, they were scrapped  Just done both sides of mine, all rear sections cut away ( 4 each side) and replaced with new ones to right under suspension and approx 3ins into floor. Biggest culprit was the drain for rear targas, it has a small piece of steel attached to the end of the rubber hose, these easily rot away, so replaced mine with S/S at the same time. Now shes rust free anywhere around there and good for years to come  cheers smithy
  16. Well done mate glad it turned out okay in the end, though after some worry on your part am sure. :) If you havn't given out this persons username from Ebay, am sure it would be a good idea to so as to avoid the same for others. We could actaully have an "Bad ebay" section where you list names of those who have been really bad/hard to deal with ?? cheers smithy
  17. Oh aye heard nowt really bad about em bud, i decided that with the price i could have got em for and they would still be making a profit on that, then i would question the quality even more so, besides i got a reputation to uphold. :D :D cheers smithy
  18. Yep am sure the pics do it make it look good, however it boils down to quality of alloy used, loads of different grades. Quality of the welding, the actual cooler core type used and design off, again different types all offering different pros an cons. As for the filters, for past couple of years there have been copies of these filters floating around and the foam was best used for washing dishes rather than filtration. All am saying is, be cautious, it is a cheap price for a lot of goods and a lot of work in fabricating the kit, so something has to have been skimped on. Oh and saying all sold out is a good business statement, they actually emailed me a couple weeks ago asking me to sell them on their behalf and they were at least 10 days away from launch. :) erm i didn't take them up on the offer... hth smithy
  19. Least thats something mate, however bear in mind the PTU is like 6 minature transistors sending signals to the coil packs, imo it's worth swapping for a known good one and especially a series 2 one. There have been reports from some people that they have noticed a sharper/quicker responce after fitting the series 2 PTU's. cheers smithy
  20. Very doubtfull mate, they only officially brought that replica out a few weeks a go. Personally am dubious, but then i generally am if someone copies an original item and manages to make it for half the price. Whilst I understand you pay for the HKS brand with their products, quality does come at a price :) cheers smithy
  21. Also worth trying removing each coil pack connector 1 by 1 and replacing 1 by 1 whilst engine is running and see if the engine note drops as each connector is removed. Bad PTU can be non starting and bad signals sent to coil packs. If your not a series 2 PTU, tbh it's always worth upgrading. smithy
  22. Ah they will be the "Heart" ones, i have them and touch wood so far so good :) smithy
  23. For the past 7 years Steve i've used these guys, Niphos Metal Finishing Co Ltd, 25 Hope Street, Crewe, Cheshire, CW2 7DR My balance bar was done nearly 4 years ago and still looks like it was done yesterday :) Next car show you go to, really look at the various chromed parts some people have ( not just Zedders) you'll see some differences  smithy
  24. Geez yer not wrong there  6 of you having problems, did you all purchase from the same place/have same brand or summitt ? it's best known so that the likes of Danny's kits don't get a bad reputation from the poorer quality ones.. :) smithy
