  3. As the title says, anyone here hoping to have their Zeds magazine featured in 2006 ? we seem to get just a couple a year at the mo ;) smithy
  4. Bit of a Nissan thing this mate, either that or i've been unlucky with me past 3 cars :D remove the scuttle panels and you will see the control arms, switch yer wipers on and you should see which one has disconnected it self. These are held in place by a plastic ball and clip type thinghy ;) nissan sell em and yer probably best getting new clips etc for the scuttle panels if you've bust em. Mike feeney (mjp) can supply as well i guess. Oh i just got a new control arm, so much easier to re-fit that way. hth cheers smithy
  5. Just make sure you put the thermostat in the right way up ;) cheers smithy
  6. small stuff mate ;) still a great set up though 356mm and 6 pots :D cheers smithy
  7. Exactly !! he's been here as mac says for over 5 years, he KNOWS what he can and can't do, he doesn't even need to read any rules/guidelines cos he's seen for himself what happens if ? Timmy knew full well what he was doing and what the repercussions were going to be. After his 1st ban, which is stated he never knew he had, he very quickly logged on with the new name "bannedtt" now ask yerself if he knew! After more crap, swearing and attacks on members and the committe, that name was also banned, he then came back a third time with another new name and again carried out the excact same all over again. I was logged on the 2 nights he did this and read his posts, i think many here would think differently if they had read them, fact is the mods/committe have and that is enough. So in short he was fully aware of what he was doing and what the end result would be, but for some strange reason known only to him, he decided to carry on doing it under new names :( Oh and as for telling him, if i remember rightly, after his timmy name received a short ban, the new one came up very quickly indeed (banndtt), he knew alright! smithy
  8. I passed these over to danny at DTA so i could spend more time on new products mate, drop danny a line and he'll sort you out. Oh just remembered, he went away to day for a week, ;) you can still email him though. cheers smithy
  9. Read through this thread when Van was having probs, some very helpful tips and how to's for yer mate. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=58278&referrerid=119 cheers smithy
  10. Remove the sensor for the temp gauge, re-tap the alloy to suit the thread on yer new sensor if required, new wire from gauge now goes to the new sensor and you can totally dis regard the old wire OR fit sensor in a boss fitted in top rad pipe and just leave the old one alone. As Lymon says, as long as you don't touch the other sensor which feeds the ECU, the electric fan remains as is. cheers smithy
  11. Goodnite Tim  smithy
  12. Yes some of this us discovered that last night! Maybe what i should have said is " an area you can't USE" Simply subscribe once your bans are up and you can crack on posting what you want, just in the area that suits the subject,( you obviously love this place) that way newbies surfing through thinking about joining us, don't get to read it until they too have subscribed. smithy
  13. No Tim  and paid up members have the FULL service, the rest is just in an area where you can't see! smithy
  14. Am gonna hazard a guess at this mate, cos i've no definate answer for yer ;) Anyone who comes to this forum does so because they are into being a part of the 300zx community ( or at least they should) and will therefore subscribe in due course. It's really only those who don't want to openly talk and drive Zeds that don't, in that particular case, why should we just allow people to come on the board not cough up £20 and be able to post for their own fun what's been described as naff threads ? In the case of your other half, that is of course an exception and i would guess a very very rare case, so i imagine what ever the commitees reasons are, they have to consider the vast majority. As i said mate, this is just all a guess on my part, but if i was part of the reasoning why, then this what they would be ;) cheers smithy
  15. Chuffin ell where did he come from  registered in 2004, digs up a post from 2003 and he gets banned in 2005, weird stuff !! smithy
  16. Here yer go, 2nd paragraph down. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=36292&referrerid=119 smithy
  17. If you click R32 turbos in the search button, less than 5 seconds later, your question will be answered and thats from only 2 weeks ago! smithy
  18. Hmm, budget wise is not a major issue as i'll put the difference to it, however more than 250 per wheel is a tad too much. Soo many wheels out there, any help/ideas would be good. cheers smithy
  19. Well am the big 40 in a couple of weeks and the family are wanting to lash some cash on me ;) any recommendations for some 18in jobbies with a gloss black centre/spokes but with a nice polished rim/lip and of course these will go on a black Zed, so any pics would be much welcomed fellas ;) cheers smithy

Will need you to take what he has done and finish off soon as poss, then upload in place of my existing website. Please don't ask me anything technical, cos i don't know owt  Ideally I would like this finished within next few days. If yer able to help, PM me or email me smithy@manx.net and i'll send you a link to what has been done and what's left, check it out and let me know the damage ;) cheers smithy
  22. Defi do real nice gauges, apexi/greedy etc also have the same functions though as you listed. just priced up some bits, control unit 70 odd quid and gauges from 113 quid each, depending on which ones you want. dunno who qouted yer 700 bucks, but it's worth shopping around all the same cos the saving you made is smallish compared to the price i just found, but well done cos all savings are good :hyper: smithy
  23. Hmm yes that was some time ago now and it was in the interests of the club, i got there the night before the RR day so the guys at Thor could sus out rolling the Zeds and yep, it went poop  needless to say though, she ran a nice graph at WRC back last July ;) so fingers crossed :D Oh now yer know why i want it near to the ferry and am now in the AA :D cheers smithy
