what do you think guys
Check out the spec on my Zed Karl, you'll see not a massive amount to achieve what your looking for and my tubs kick at just barely over 2000 revs, so pretty much lag free :hyper: http://www.smithys-place.co.uk/myz.php Rolling road graph is also there. Torque is way more important than BHP mate, imo of course ;) cheers smithy

Dodgy dealers section
Ah opinions is tricky, however actual facts is not. It does not matter who the company is, what happend or said, as long as it's ALL factual and ideally able to back up your statements just incase, then no probs what so ever. Many forums have sections for good and bad experiences with both companies and individuals including ebay, am not aware of any problems with them. cheers smithy

Best place to get a clutch fitted
Yes mate for that price you get the same clutch as i listed earlier, though it's uprated will far outlast a stock one at your level, but still leave room for more in the future from you or the next owner. So all yer gotta decide is a trip out to ? or have it done locally, simple eh :D cheers smithy

Best place to get a clutch fitted
Deffo go for an aftermarket one mate, even if yer not planning big horsies! The RPS Sport is pretty much a stock feel and capable of handling decent power. http://www.smithys-place.co.uk/clutch.php Whilst it's always best to use a Zed specialist for pretty much anywork, IF those company names above are a little too far to travel to, fitting a clutch is not an awkward or hard job on a Zed and is realy much the same as many other rear wheel drive cars, so if you have a garage local that are used to doing clutches, yer sorted. Oh it's always a good idea to replace the rear seal when removing the gearbox, it's only around 12-15 quid. hth smithy

will these fit?

Flippin eck mate, yer not having much luck  Start at the begining and tell us when it 1st started having problems in firing up and what jobs you had just done if any, cos i know you checked/removed a few things lately and what you've fitted/changed whilst trying to fix it. Then we can hopefully sus out what's gone a miss for yer ;) smithy

Plugs,Plugs, Plugs!!!!!
Am not up on the HKS ones mate, however as your running Nitrous then certainly you need colder ones around 7 which the S45i might equate too, i dunno, soz but certainly any other Zeds with small mods or even quite a few, 6 heat range is certainly best. Oh and if you search, platniums are reccomended over iridiums by most ;) theres some pics somewhere around showing the differences. smithy

we will never beat america
That's great until yer caught out, it takes just 1 decent priced package to come through in bits or worse not at all ( oh it happens) and you can claim just 25 dollars! Karl, in responce to this " ok i can see that the traders have to make a profit otherwise whats the point, but what im saying is how do they compete with the states on prices or ebay say for example, people say you dont get warrenty or reassurance, course you do if you buy from a company and if you dont buy from a company then you get what you diserve if it goes wrong, everything i have got from the states comes with wrranty. ok i now it will be more of a pain in the ass to get it fixed, but by the time people in england get off there ass to help and sort you out, the blokes out in the states have already sent you another one out. (not saying all traders are like this) " Simply it's a case of a warranty is only as good as the company who supplied/manufactured the goods. I had 5 customers last year to bought from the US and 2 had a bad experience and the other 3 trying to sort faulty goods out  in turn they came to me and obviously more expense but also the headache that can go with it. Say for example you buy a product which once fitted may still give symtoms as something wrong, say perhaps HKS turbo's and a HKS tripple plate clutch ( just for arguments sake) you fit these items and the car maybe still smoking or the clutch feels like it's slipping or won't disengage or just undriveable, i can tell you now for a fact, they will like any other company say that fault lies somewhere else, cost of removing these goods certainly ain't cheap, postage to the US deffo ain't cheap!!! and you gotta wait to find out what's what and still the same answer, heartache and expense and wost of all time of the road. Now should similar goods have come from say myself, you would have received the parts that i feel from over 6 years of selling parts for Zeds is right for your cars engine and future plans, should you not be happy with something i can be contacted most of the time in minutes, i know how these goods should operate and feel and would speak with the garage direct re the fitting etc, still nowt resolved, then at my own expense i replace the parts subject to confirmation the parts are not as they should be and it is ME who deals with the supplier even if he's across the pond to resolve matters. Theres a couple guys on here who have been burned very badly in their dealings with across the water and the same goes for ebay, they may come forward and say what's happend. "great today but gone tomorow" is my final saying on it ;) Good luck smithy

Spot the difference
The 2 general points being is though chaps, unless you had another one at the same time to compare, you'd never know the difference and whilst you might spot what looks like a bargain saving you some of the ole wonga, buy from a reptuable dealer is the really the only safe thing to do ;) smithy

Spot the difference
doh i was gonna leave it for a while longer to let the guys see just how impossible it is to spot fakes. Heres the other obvious thing, however in the case of Chris's pic and mine, unless you know these goods inside out and buy sell em all the time, you the average punter, would never know  The most alarming thing is that many of the goods being copied like induction kits, boost controllers, injectors etc, buy a fake and you can possibly kiss your engine goodbye  smithy

Who else is getting fed up with people ruining for sale threads??
Why thankyou youngman :D smithy

Spot the difference
Think that's the photo mate, however even if that was the way how to spot fakes, unless you bought a genuine one and a fake one, how would yer as a normal punter, know  smithy

Who else is getting fed up with people ruining for sale threads??
On some forums, once the ad is placed, no one can reply to it except the author. If the seller submits plenty of info on the goods and how to purchase/pay etc, then why would anyone need to reply to it ? any questions, ask the seller direct by means of whatever he stated in the ad in the 1st place, simple ;) smithy

Spot the difference
Following on from the thread about 555cc Nismo's ( I am not saying they are fake though ;) ) thought i'd post up a couple of pics showing just how clever some companies are copying Jap performance goods, Would you have spotted the difference if the pic didn't tell you ??? This is why i NEVER purchase goods from Ebay companies who are not Authorised distributors of those goods. This is the difference where it really matters I'll leave this running for a little while then show you how this was first noticed or if anyone knows how to spot the fake, do say ;) smithy
