  1. Jason, would your guy spray a load of engine bay bits using Alsa paints ? i have all the paints right from base/undercoat to the final laquer coat, so nowt for him to supply, just do the spraying. ;) cheers smithy
  2. Thanks again Greg, looks like the very bottom red dot in yer pic is the little bugger i ain't loosend yet, will give it a try later today. cheers smithy
  3. Thanks Greg, seems i've missed one nut out, the 12mm locking nut, erm where excatly will i find that one please bud ? cheers smithy
  4. Need to replace belt cos last one snapped, so loosend the 12mm tensioner locking bolt, loosend the 14mm bolt that you get to in between the holes in pulley, now what's left in order to move the pump so i can slip the belt on the pulley and bottom crank ?? cheers fellas smithy
  5. Busy times ahead there mate :) glad you like all that SPL stuff it certainly rocks and you pretty much got all of it, lol Oh btw, if you want a carbon fibre throttle cover that fits the Carbing braces, i got em in stock ;) cheers smithy
  6. Did yer go for the built in wideband sensor configuration and 5 bar map sensor option as well Mike ? would help greatly with the mods your doing :) Paul, price starts at around £1250 and there are a few little extras you can have with it, either built in or external. When you consider if someone was running a boost controller and say an AFC or similar and a chipped ECU, all would be redundant and sold to help fund it :) cheers smithy
  7. 99% of the RPS clutches i've sold have been Organic mate, whilst the 6 puck holds a bit more torque it is an either on or off clutch, the disc wears quicker than organic and costs more to replace when the time comes. Rule of thumb is generally if you have all usual/basic mods but without bigger tubs and injectors then the Sport series, usual mods and with bigger injectors and tubs, then the Max series is best ;) Any probs or want to order one, just let me know. cheers smithy
  8. Flippin eck mate, if the clutch and fly were only fitted just before xmas and yer car has hardly done any miles since then cos of all yer probs, speak with who supplied it to see excatly what you got and condition etc............ smithy
  9. Don't worry seeing as you should go through 2 filters every year or so, you'll soon find a use for it ;) As for the trader offering a gaurantee/promise you'll have it by a certain time or day, it really is down to the postal service mate and as already stated yesterday was a bank holiday which dunno about your area, but we had no post what so ever! who ever it was, if it turns up on your next parcel delivery day and is stamped posted Thursday, you can assume he did his best ;) smithy
  10. Read both pages from this thread below, http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=68345&referrerid=119 just gives a little insight as to what can happen on some occassions. smithy
  11. TBH mate i would spend some time looking for a large air leak whilst yer waiting for a spare MAF, from what your saying it sounds more likely, as often even with a knackered MAF the car will idle, a large air leak and it usually won't. So check all 4 intake hoses, the metal pipes to and from the turbos and down by the intercoolers to see if a hose has popped off, oh and down by the recircs as well, a small leak wouldn't cause the above, only a large one would. hth cheers smithy
  12. Different cars mate, they sourced new Silvia S15's and were having them reworked for bigger bhp and drifting ;) cheers smithy
  13. :headvswal Sorry fella, just getting frustrated at what some people THINK is happening here and really isn't! So from a trader with many years service, here's the plain understanding. Mac has gone out and sourced companies who he believes offers Z dedicated services/parts FOR the members, now a quick look at the traders section will reveal that pretty mch every aspect of a cars parts/functions has been covered by companies. Now many of these companies sell similar or same items so the number in each catergory is limited ( i assume) however that said, NO ONE stops us from selling what parts/services we like. We all have websites and between us we have a "gentlemans" agreemant that we each sell certain brands evenly on the board and owt else through our websites or outside advertising, so members in no way miss out, forced to buy from certain traders and not others and you see no real problems on the board between traders. IMO Mac has done a great job with this and despite the fact i've given him earache from time to time as am sure others have, am aware of no problems or suffering to anyone. ;) Now onto Luke, why oh why are people saying we're losing Luke and through the way this place is ran as well, erm we ain't and it's not! ALL that has happened is Lukes fees are due for renewal, he hasn't renewed and from what he posted he feels he would rather not after having some posts deleated, ( i think) this does not in anyway stop him taking out a banner at the top and even if he didn't he's still a registered member free to post as when he feels. In all honesty Luke was never really here as he seldom posted and seldon used his traders area so he was simply using this as advertising and the club have offered him to continue with advertisng, FACT! Yes he is on Zclub.net who have recently set up official traders sections but Luke has been an official adviser there for more years than i care to remember, so he hasn't just suddenly "moved over" to another forum either. So please fellas and girlies, stop reading more into this that it really is as i hope the above explains. cheers smithy
  14. Jim, did yer not read my post on the other thread ? we're not losing Luke, cos he was hardly ever here in the 1st place! in 3 years he had around 80 posts to his name, never responded to queries in his traders section and din't get involved really in GB's, because he's a busy bloke outside of the forum with his business and whatever else he does and thats not meant in any derogitary way at all ;) He's still a member no matter what happens as regards his traders subs and can post as he sees fit from now on, being the ONLY Zed specialst bodyparts supplier in the UK that am aware off, he clearly doesn't need the same functions as the rest of the traders. Finally, again i'll say he's a body part supplier, lately he's opened up new products which are sold through his website in the excact same manner as ALL the rest of the traders here who openly don't advertise something on the forum, but do so on their website instead, so NO ONE on the forum is made to or pushed in any direction towards a particular trader, it's the main reason why we openly advertise our websites. Check them all out and you'll be surprised to see just how many similar products we all sell. cheers smithy
  15. That's really a good upgrade for those N/A owners on early 26mm calipers as there isn't realy much different in r32 calipers an our TT ones as they even use the same pads too. Check out my big brake upgrade kit on my website or in traders section mate. Though the discs our outta stock at the mo......... cheers smithy
  16. The 32's are 296mm, whereas the 33/34's are 324mm mate, don't know many who have fitted the r32's with em only being 16mm bigger than ours though bud. cheers smithy
  17. Just what i needed thanks mate and that's one sweet looking and very clean engine  cheers smithy
  18. Good pics those Russ, you ain't got another pic of yer 1st pic but from the front have yer ? it would help with a wee problem i may have too ;) cheers smithy
  19. 2 paid for by paypal if it could just be refunded now thanks ;) cheers smithy
  20. If yer running or hoping to run some serious amounts of Torque, then yep the Max street is the best, for an extra bit of torque capabilities is the Max 6 puck however this is an off or on clutch and wears slightly quicker than the street version which i raerly reccomend. :) cheers smithy
  21. Ah i see in reading that you think, hmm how can a standard disc hold the power ? Heres a little info on the Max mate . Theres quite a few fast motors out there running the Max series. From my own personal experience at WRC last year with their mapper and John dixon (Chip guru :D ) running 475lbs of torque in me Zed and the owners words were after approx 20 odd power runs "Bloody good clutch that" MAX pressure plates offer 400 to 600 pounds of extra clamping force to hold your biggest power. 9 second Supra’s, 10 second 300ZX’s and 3000GT VR4’s, 10 second Honda’s and Eclipse’s all use Turboclutch MAX! RPS is the only clutch company with a U.S. Patent (#5,769,973) on their single diaphragm pressure plate technology. Our unique dual diaphragm technology allows us to create almost any clutch unit with any pressure ranging from stock to double stock in 100 pound increments. If the stock pressure is 1400 pounds we can make MAX pressure plates 1800, 1900, 2000, and so on up to 2800 pounds. This flexibility can only be found at RPS. RPS’s all new PRO MAX Series is the last pressure plate you will ever have to buy. This pressure plate uses our patented (10,334,633) segmented heat shield design that helps prevent warpage and is replaceable for the life of your car. If you ever wear out this pressure plate simply replace the segmented heat shields and you’re good to go. hth cheers smithy
  22. Fraid i can't help yer with info on helix mate, but on the RPS front, you know there are 5 different specs/models so if yer sure you already have one and possibly have a reason for summit different, do you know which one it is ? I can of course copy/paste a load of info on the tech/specs and reasons why RPS is the most popular and possibly considered the best ? :) cheers smithy
  23. Full fitting instructions with pics are in my traders section in the thread about these. have a look ;) smithy
  24. Yer right mate platinums are the ones fitted and used by Nissan and many Zed specialists, the 11C being the most commonly available in the UK, however the same plug but a 11B has a very slightly longer shroud to help further avoid detonation and these were only ever sold in the US, until now ;) cheers smithy
  25. I'd get another sensor and plumb it in the other side and a switch wired to both, that way simply switching over gives you either reading on the gauge. Bosch UEGO replacement sensors from AEM are around 45-50 quid, assuming your going to use the wideband UEGO controller which also switches between AFR and Lambda readout at a flick of a switch. ;) Cool stuff........ cheers smithy
