some pictures of the damage
Really feel for yer mate, I know I'd be sliting me wrists if that was me :( Also sad to note, this is not uncommon on auto Zeds kicking down going around a roundabout, maybe all the auto owners need to have a word with cybernet for some traction control! smithy

Thanks for yer help so far, but not quite finished with yer yet :D from the pic below, am i missing anything ? mounting bracket perhaps ? also the hose that is still attached, that goes to the power steering pot ? and finally the hose missing from the top is the one you mentioned about needing replaced ? cheers fella smithy

R33 GTS-t calipers for Z32
Very much doubt it mate, the GTS-T uses 296mm discs (same as our rears) it also uses same front pads as our Zeds as they are both 4 pots, 296 is the biggest you can use on our cars without fitting adapter brackets, so I would say you need brackets making up if you go down this route and the GTS-T calipers ain't no improvement over our TT calipers for you. 19's means you can fit right upto 355mm and then some if you wanted though ;) Oh and 322mm discs, what are they off ?? cheers smithy

Test fitter wanted
Looking for someone who can test fit a cosmetic engine product for me, it's quite a simple part and should take 5mins or so, however the instructions would need to be scanned and translated to English, ideally suit someone who likes a bit of bling. I can't do it myself as where this goes, I have removed some parts and it wouldn't fit correctly !! cheers smithy

water leaking from my guage!
Also if any of you are using a screw at the top to hold the new trim on, loosen it, by screwing it in tight it squeezes the drain tube making the water overflow back into the targas. cheers smithy

Whoo Hoo am finally Oil leak free
Man it's been a long time coming and after going through a litre of oil a WEEK! I can finally look to cleaning my driveway up ;) 3 Leaks in total have plagued me for friggin ages, After Jeff (Zedworld) re done my cam seals and cam belt, I was down to 2, but then he noticed the gap under the rocker covers was rather big, checked some other cars he had in and sure enough it was, managed to get a screwdriver to the front 3 screws and hey presto, they were really loose. So back another day to have the plenum whipped off and the rocker cover gaskets done and it turns out the screws were all only hand tight  So off i goes with me fingers crossed BUT, I still had 1 leak which was poping out through the Cam covers  So this week down at the local garage I decide to take the cam covers off, re assemble everything and drive round with the covers off hoping to spot it, no sooner was eveything back on and fired her up, within a couple of minutes, spotted! oil was flying out from the top cam shaft sprocket on passenger side all over the gaff AND you could actually see the thing wobble as it went around,so got Jeff to send me yet another cam belt and replacement cam shaft sprocket and seals with new auto tensioner, all fitted today, fired her up, no oil splats, took her for a blast and still no oil. Man am so relieved about this, just had to share and I think i'll have to give the Mrs a good seeing to tonight now :D Now I can spend some cash on fitting my replacement front bumper and side skirts I got coming from Japan :hyper: smithy

front bumper from "Peru"
I must confess i can see a little of where T-pot is coming from, this guys very 1st post started of well and towards the bottom of his post he went to the bit about selling them to the UK, i was very surprised at the time the part about selling them here wasn't moderated from his post so as to just allow the information he wanted to share along with pics etc. I think it's fair to say, he never suddenly joined the forum to be apart of our group, but wanted to push sales of his bumper, which as it happens from what i've read on twinturbo.net recives pretty good feedback. Good luck fellas in what ever you do ;) cheers smithy

Which radiator?
Ditto ;) Koyo originally sold stock replacements for many different cars, in time they simply made the same rad again but using all alloy construction and slightly thicker, hence why it's the most popular, literally 100's of retailers selling Koyos rads. Howe however were tasked by Z1 to build a rad to their spec and so Howe really only sell this particular spec rad to Z1 who inturn sell them to other retailers, hence why you don't see it as much from traders worldwide. If cash is not a problem, then the Mc culloch SPL custom rad looks the biz ;) All aluminum radiator with internal heat exchanger. Heat exchanger has 3/8 NPT inlet/outlet, and can be used for engine oil cooling or transmission/differential oil cooling. Benefits to oil cooling through heat exchange with coolant: No pressure loss from bypass style stock oil cooling system. Our twin-turbo develops over 100 PSI of oil pressure at 6000+ rpms for maximum engine/bearing protection. Coolant capacity is much larger, so coolant acts as a thermal bath to stabilize oil temperatures, reducing spikes in oil temperature. Coolant warms up oil faster to ideal operating temperature (~160-200degF) on cold starts. Internal heat exchanger is safer; Rocks/debris could rupture an external oil cooler which can cause catastrophic oil loss. We offer a custom plumbing kit which includes -8 hose, sandwich adapter, plug for stock oil cooler system, and aluminum AN fittings. This setup also works on non-turbo models. We recommend the Billion hi-flow thermostat when using this system.

Radiator
I run the Howe racing 1 mate, i picked this cos it was marginally thicker than Koyo, was the most popular in the US at the time and didn't suffer the neck problems early Koyos had, though they have addressed this problem now ;) Both in the region of 300 quid. smithy

bov fits
Heres a pic of the flange mate you need to buy a pair of these that fit your BOV as they come in 2 different sizes, they are held on with a cir clip, then your welder needs to weld the elbow into the flange to fit in place of re-circs, howeevr if you decide, you can fit them on the pipes in engine bay, ideally hard pipes is so much easier ;) cheers smithy

Here I go again "Some pics"
He was some years ago the holder of the fastest Zed in the US, built umpteen engines for race and draging since, also was co owner of SGP racing. Kyle, Greg Dupree and Ash powers are the top guys in the US guys for tuning and development and you never see a single complaint about their workmanship ;) smithy

Here I go again "Some pics"
Thats it i don't, but after how much i've spent on the bleedin engine so far since i had it, i could have had 2 of his engines by now nearly, lol Oh and i bought my Zed many years ago simply cos the previous owner had a BRAND NEW short block, with recon heads and box supplied and fitted by Nissan @ over 6 grand and just 36,000 miles earlier, but then he had an SE boost upgrade without using an aftermarket boost gauge, that was the start of rebuild No.1  All the best mark with yer plans, smithy

Here I go again "Some pics"
Sad to see you've gotta go through all this expense again Bud  Least this time round with the parts yer using and the garage too plus these guys keeping it for a week to run it, is bob on ;) am sure you'll be well pleased with the result. I know from my own last rebuild which wasn't entirely the best, if things do go wrong big time. am just gonna bite the bullet and have Kyle pucket in the US build me one and ship the fecker over ! smithy
