That's cos your supplier ain't top dog like me fella :) Difference is a slightly longer shroud in the 11b's which further helps fight against detonation, best pleace to get em is click the BIG square advertising box in my sig  cheers smithy

Broke down
Syed, car is obviously in safety mode. Extra fuel is dumped in and the elec sub fan coming on is all to help cool things down in the engine, hence the engine check light as well. For my 2p worth it is one of 2 things, the temp sensor with yellow connector ontop of the top water inlet pipe, though am more inclined to go with the ECU itself. On rare occassions there is a circuit within the ECU that can blow, it can be repaired but a replacement is cheaper, it causes the symtoms you describe and does not always show a code fault on the ECU. So personally i would borrow one from someone, don't matter if auto manual etc as it's just to "start" the car only, have you messed with ECU recently ? fitted a chip in past few months ? The list of parts you've ben asking about, MAF/AFM would not cause these symtoms, PTU same again, Temp sensor hmm possibility but as possible as a fooked chip or circuit down in ECU. Hope that helps smithy

Help needed!!!!!!!!!!!
Fraid if the CAS is dead, car will not deffo start, it sends a signal to the ecu when TDC is detected which then returns the signal for the injectors to fire. To test cas, remove and slowly turn the spindle at the rear ( with ignition on) and listen for the injectors clicking, if no clicking then it's dead. Second hand are only cheap fortunately, if you want one to try I can send you one tomorow, just send back with postage cost if when done, fraid i don't wanna sell it though, handy for a spare :) smithy

Brembo Disc conversion... Info & anyone interested
Deffo not R32. R33's and R34's are the same except the caliper bolts are slightly wider on the R34, so require a 2mm extra opening on hub, easy enough. Price wise, if calipers only then around 400 quid a set, sometimes with discs 550ish, oh and thats fronts only :) smithy

lightwieght/unorthodox pullies
Tis true, i sell em both and thanks paul and Legrath :) Fortunately, the previous 70 odd SGP ones sold to customers ( including at least 2 mechanics) had no fitting issues, hence why am happy to sell em. As for the ebay ones, man I looked at a Zed today for a mate of mine and you could see the botom pulley wobble, checked the folder of history/receipts and sure enough, ebays best pulley at 21 quid  needless to say it's coming off...... Ebay can be good for some parts, but certain important components just should not be replaced with unbranded/tested products, IMO Cheers smithy

Anyone know anything about ECU's?
As the guys have said, tis the truth mate. on average 1 bar is generally the rule of thumb for a Zed with stock pistons/injectors and I/C's. Whilst you may feel the car is running great, without the above upgraded parts you must be about to mash yer rings, happened to me some years ago. So worth checking if poss what has been done to the car and if you can't, take it to a rolling road place to get more accurate feedback of what the car is doing under load. smithy

Which brake pads?
When it comes to brake dust, am using ferodos now simply cos they came with my brake kit and they are easily twice as dusty as the portefields. Mine do squeal a fair bit too when hot. Yes they are a good pad, but with an average of 50% more expensive than P/F i should hope so. For the money P/F are a great pad and with over 200 sets sold this year alone between z32/s14 and skyline peeps, I am happy with selling em :) Rotora discs, is that them weird shaped buggers ? if you search the name there was a guy little while back who hated them, but one thing with brakes is, so many other issues can either make or break a good set up. smithy

EGR Pipes
A knackered MAF will allow the engine to run mate, dunno if it's because the ECU is a closed loop application until around 2.5k not sure. Totally disconnect it and see if the symtoms are excatly the same. smithy

JAE AGM FAO All Members
Am at JAE Saturday only, so hence the following points please chaps. As with John above, can we have say a "term" that ALL committe members serve, say approx 12-18 months, this allows new members to bring new fresh ideas and help to prevent things becoming stagnant. Can we look towards more protection/help for members purchasing from traders if something goes wrong, if I could propose the following. Traders are advised that part of their trading conditions that they apply themselves to the TLO's guidelines. 1) A member shall expect a responce from the trader to any issues/problems within 7 days max. A member should be able to have a responce from the committe within 7 days over their greivances. The trader and member should abide by the committees decision after investigation has been complete and neither party should spout on teh forum about it, however either party are open to take any course of action outside the forum. Traders should not use stealth mode during the above times. I believe by adopting the above we can prevent the belief that moderators are heavily protected and many of the threads/posts seen in the past 12months where members were clearly unhappy and frustrated leading to unneccesary bans can be a thing of the past. If a subscribed member is banned for a long period of time ( to be dertermined) and has been a member for at least 12months, can the committe please advise all members in a simple statement, this then prevents some of the usual threads asking ??? which also results in slanging matches. Can the club use professional outside services for the likes of calenders, member packs and Tee shirts etc, funds would be returned via sales anyway and it saves relying on fellow friends who get the stick if it all goes wrong. IMO as this club is growing with more members all the time, the risk of problems increases, despite you guys doing a good job, preventative measures will ensure better morale and good feeling all round. cheers smithy

99spec Slicktop...
Oh you can bring it in, you just can't register it :) no model report means no test, no test means no registration. Only "possible" other ways maybe to register the car first in either the Isle of man and I dunno about this but also possibly Dublin. I.O.M don't have same rules as the UK for a lot of motor related things, erm like M.O.T's  cheers smithy

99spec Slicktop...
It's nowt to do with mods mate, a model report does not exist for the Z32. To see a list of current model reports and how much to purchase already made ones check out http://www.modelreports.com As for pics, save the pic you want on your PC and just upload it into the post via the attachements button below, copy and paste links is as normal, right click the web page, copy and paste it in your post. cheers smithy

Getting a little p155ed off now......
To be honest mate, that's not far off. Usual fees for 113 quid would be approx 22-25 quid, then on top of that is often a handling fee from the 3rd party who deliver it which is approx 10-15 quid + vat. Best option is to pay it and wait for the reciept to come through which breaks down how the fees are made up and from what base figure, then you can dispute it. cheers smithy
