I have a strange temperature gauge problem. It reads just below the half way point during normal driving, but when I accelerate hard it drops to zero, then returns to just below half way when normal driving. Why is it doing this? Thanks.

"Probably a GTS" You were not even there m8 so don't give me "Probably a GTS" LOL. The Skyline I toasted was seriously quick but not as quick as me. He even had the cheak to pull in my lane when he saw me gaining on him, poor looser. If someone toasts me (nobody has ever done that, not even come close) then I will acknowledge it.

I am runing 15psi no probs, if I increase it to 17 or 18 you say that the extra heat will cause problems which I can understand. So if I get so big intercoolers will this solve the problem? Its only an increase of 3psi?

I run 15psi on stock injectors, I always fill up with Optimax and have no probs with the setup I have. I'm thinking of running 17/18psi soon.

I have not come up agains a GTO yet on the roads but am really looking forward to taking one on. After toasting a M plate skyline from a roaling start I should totally obliterate a GTO, should be a lough. On the road is were it really counts, thats were you get the respect, 1/4 mile times are good for telling you how quick your car is on a 1/4 mile run, but in the real world it's on the road that counts. I have not tried a 1/4 run yet but will do soon, i'm going to the RR day 24th Jan don't think I can make it to the pod. :mad:

You can get the JWT chip from Zworld (See traders section) quite away from Fife, but he can post it to you for your old one. Yes you should def avoid Superchip, I had one once and caused det.

Thanks b19rks, I have put it all back together now and it seems to be working fine. Will keep an eye on it for leaks etc.

I have pulled them apart. I noticed there were two small rubber gaskets seperating the two halfs, were the fluid goes from one side to the other, they seem to be in good condition. I will put them together and do the referb and will check them for leaks after a few miles. Thanks.

I am referbing my calliper and have striped it down, only problem is I have split the calliper not realising that I should not have split it. Acording to the online manual I should not have remaved the bolts holding it together. Have I done any serious damage to it by removing the bolts? Thanks.

I have just changed my SuperChips for the Jwt chip and it has solved the det problem. I have been told that the superchip does nothing for the fueling but alows you to run higher boost at the cost of det. I got the chip and fitting for £350 from zworld, top job.

Am I buzzin or what, just been to the Telford town centre and on the ring road about 10:30 this morning, spotted a maroon Skyline on a M plate. I egged him on a bit I was is second gear doing about 30, heard him drop to second and we both floored it! I was gaining on him quite a lot but he would not let me pass by pulling into my lane, the sod. Anyway, I eventually got past him on the mini roundabout by Asda. I'm running high boost and mod filter. I love my Zed.

You perfectly right kerbz about the Z having such great looks compared with the supra. I was at a wedding reception recently minding my own business when I looked over at my Z in the car park and three gorgeous girls having there photo taken right next to my Z! That really made my day.

I certainly would not hesitate taking on a supra what ever model it is, and I only have a few mods, filter, chip, boost bleed valves. I know 9 times out of 10 I would obliterate any supra I come across.

Thanks for the replys. Danny, the chip thats in it now is badged "Super chips" it was in the car when I bought it along with two bleed valves on the turbos. I've been told that this chip is no good, so want to replace it with a jwt or se. The turbos seem fine at the moment, if I floor it there's no visable smoke that I can see in the rear mirror. The engine starts no problem and no smoke from cold or hot. The only thing that has buged me is that every so often within the first 5 mins of driving, somtimes there is quite a lot of blue smoke from both exhausts. This soon clears though, and does not happen again. I have been playing with the bleed valves and getting unreal acceleration, but also det, so i'm slowly turning them down until the det goes.

Hi guys, need to call upon your knowlege again please. I am going to replace the super chip ecu soon with a JWT, what boost can I safely run with the JWT chip? The car is standard apart from the super chip and air filter. Also, I have noticed that some people using a SE chip, is this better than JWT? What are the differances? Thanks.

Just wondered if anyone can tell me if the boost guage tells the boost from both turbos combined? For example, if the guage says 8psi, does that mean that both turbos are kicking out 8psi or does it mean that each turbo is pushin 4psi each?

Are the poor lights a J spec problem only? I have a UK car and the lights are great. Infact a passenger said to me how good the headlight were!
