I need reasons to buy a 300zx
My dad has a auto Ford Focus and I can tell you that is is dreadfull compared to the manual. Example, I am in 3rd gear and I want to change to 2nd (without moving the knob), instead the car decides to drop to 1st gear and screames like hell then decides to change up to 2nd ?? I hope the auto z is not like this, that is why I decided to go for a manual z, you just have more control over the beast!

Just Tried To Move My Z..........

Standard Clutch
Your clutch wont last long with that amount of boost. I am running a similar setup and my standard clutch only lasted about 2000 miles before it started to slip under boost. Got a RPS street clutch now and that holds the power fine.

Sticky Throttle
I have had this happen to me but on the opposite side. When engine cold taped it back into place and put a dab of thread lock to stop it coming out again, did the trick for me.

Anyone tried water spray system for intercoolers ?
If you have a UK car you could relocate the head light jet washers to were the intercoolers are. I thought of doing this to my UK car, would have to get differant sprey jets though. Any ideas?

Woooooooooooooooo 15psi!
Would two 0.7mm produce 15psi?

Woooooooooooooooo 15psi!
Ok, will keep it how it is and just drive without foot to the floor untill I can get it sorted. Thanks

Woooooooooooooooo 15psi!
Thanks m8 I will do that. Don't have another 0.8mm jet, but do have a 0.6mm jet, so will run the car on two 0.6mm jets. I'll have to be careful of det as it will be higher than 15psi that its set to now. Going to try not to thrash her untill I get two 0.8mm.  Thanks.

Woooooooooooooooo 15psi!
Thanks for replying Andy. Will I be ok to run my car with the two differant size mig tips while I get it sorted?

Why close "Woooooooooooooooo 15psi!" Post?
Why? Was getting some good feedback from the members. Quote by andyduff "Why run different sized jets? They've gotta be the same size. When you fit adjustable actuators its very important they are both set up equally using a compressor. The basic effect will be slower spool up. Remember its a x-flow engine so the left turbo boosts the right bank and vice versa. Its very difficult to explain but basically the car will hit target boost on the larger jetted turbo, then slowly reach target boost on the smaller jetted turbo. Despite the wastegate being fully open on the larger jetted turbo, it should still boost past target boost due to being fed by the other turbo. I know what I mean! lol Just change the smaller jet for a 0.8mm one... CheerZ, Andy" Thanks for replying Andy. Will I be ok to run my car with the two differant size mig tips while I get it sorted?

Woooooooooooooooo 15psi!
Now you got me worried. I was under the impression that the balance bar made the pressure equal to both sides of the engine so not causing problems. Anyone know if I have a problem using two differant sizes mig tip's?
-
Woooooooooooooooo 15psi!
Yep, i'm using 0.8mm on the left turbo, and 0.6mm on the right turbo.
-
Woooooooooooooooo 15psi!
I run 15psi with 0.8 and 0.6 jets, checked the pressure using Jeff's boost guage, no det that I can hear. Now the clutch is starting to slip when cold and I've only done 2000 miles on the stock clutch!

Hks Bov
Hi guys, i'm looking into getting a HKS SSQV kit and found this web site http://splparts.com/ just wondering if anyone has had experience with them and if there any good. The price seems reasonable at £301.94 not inc p&p. Or even the type 2 seem a great price. Will ask in traders forum if they can supply aswell. Thanks.

Lights affecting Idle.
LOL, nearly had the same problem las week. A noise was coming from the front passenger wheel, like there was a stone stuck in the tread of the tyre when maving. Got louder the further I traveled down motorway. I checked the wheel nuts and I could spin all of them with my finger! Scary as I was doing just over 70 at the time:eek:
