  1. Just been reading 300zxclub.com and some other American sites, seems that mid 10 to low 10 1/4 miles are nothing new over there. Anyone in the UK achieved this or anywere near it?

    As well as the 1/4.

GTO Nemesis, I think there should be a top speed run, as 1/4 mile run don't give a true rep of the cars.

If the venue is Evlington I may be up for this.

I have similar mods to you but running slightly higher boost 16.5psi. At Thor I got 325bhp at the wheels, 390bhp at fly. So you should be a bit less than me. Hope that helps.
  6. The skyline gtr has is a proper 4wd car that actually uses the 4wd to good effect. The GTO 4wd is totally rubish in comparison to the skyline it's not a good comparison. If you put a 400bhp gtr against a 4wd GTO you really think the GTO woud win? Yeah right.
  7. srrae, that is a good description of sleep paralysis as this has happened to me many times. Hallucinations with sleep paralysis is a recognised disorder with the sleep experts/doctors. I have had out of body experiences when I had sleep paralysis, it's not nice when you don't know what the f is happening to you!! Now that I know it has nothing to do with ghosts or aliiens I just go with it and it can be great fun! (and no, I don't smoke or thake anything) Mark, I respect your point and I do realise that not everything can be put down to sleep paralysis or magnetic fields.
  8. A lot of these night time in bed experiences can be put down to a scientifically explained problem called sleep paralysis. You body locks up and you see all sorts of strange things, hallucinations. It's happened to me and I thought I was being attacked by a ghost until I did some research into it and found out about sleep paralysis. As to the other events that happen when fully awake or when more than one person see's somthing, science can explain that also, it's mainly due to magnetic anomalies which affect part of the brain's visual and audio processing. This has been proven in the lab when magnetic forces have been applied to differant parts of the brain, people can actually hear and see things that are not there.
  9. Nice one. Good to see the zed whipin gto ass.
  10. Jay, I will be interested if you are able to do it with the light washer using a differant spray nozzle. I was thinking of doing this my self to save a few pounds but am not machanicaly minded enough at the moment to do it. Keep us informed if you decide to do it.
  11. In 3 days time I will have had my zed for exactly 1 year. Just wanted to say thanks for all the help and advice I have had from people on this forum. Most of the money spent on the zed has been on modifications, about a grand. The rest has been spent on general maintanence, tyres, oil, brakes etc. A very reliable car. Cheers guys!
  12. You can't get jailed for going that fast on a private test track.
  13. Thought I would give this a try being as I don't know if my car has the restriction. I got 177mph out of her (on my private track) but bottled out going any faster, still pulling well and i'm sure it will do 185 befor hitting the rev restrictor. I'm very impressed by her performance, not bad for a car I payed 5 and a half grand for!
  14. What exactly are these Trump Cards about? I never get them when I fill up with optimax.
  15. I'm thinking of getting these recircs. http://www.turboxs.com/product.htm near bottom of page, there the Racing Bypass Valve Type-34. Repaces standard recircs, quite cheap at £207 for a pair.
  16. Thanks guys. I realise that the best option is to get bigger alloys but my budget can't stretch that far yet as I have other engine mods to do first. Would 265 be ok or is that too big?
  17. I have standard uk rear wheels with 245's on, anyone know what is the maximum width tyre I can put on the rear? Thanks.
  18. Your right, the focus is utter crap and I should not compare it to the zed, it's just that the auto focus has left a bad tast that I cant get rid of, when it comes to auto's.
  19. I have driven auto ford focus's for 4 years now and they have a more advanced box than the auto z. An interesting thought for you auto guys, there are lots of zeds being converted to manuals, but as yet I have never known of a manual being converted to a auto. This tells me that auto driver secretly want a manual but manual drivers never want an auto.
  20. I have driven autos for years now and I can tell you they are truly crap. It seems that a lot of z owners want to convert from auto to manual, a very good decision. The yanks have autos because they are big and fat, and can't be bothered to change gear like the rest of the world. God I hate autos.
  21. A little info for you.
  22. I have the audio clip of that, I'll email it to you if you want. Very funny.
  23. Martinfa, you have one damn fine looking z m8, wish I had a swb.
  24. Insomniac, my advice is don't get an auto, what ever car you decide to get. If your having doubts about autos and finally get one you will regret it. You really need to drive both auto and manual and then make up your mind.
