The Z32 is THE best in it class. Its better looking, it's capable of 1000bhp+ it's much cheaper than the competition. Oh, and the tourque, much more that the poxy 4 pot's. All in all it's the best :)

Just tried to start the car this morning and it fired up first time, wierd. Maybe it is the immobiliser playin up, but then again it could be loose wire or corrosion? I really do,'t know what to do now. Thanks for your help guys, and thanks Davemac I will try your suggestion if it fails again. cheers.

Yeah, that happens to my immobiliser. When I put the immobiliser key in or use the zapper, the LED stops flashing giving me 20 seconds to start car. It's a "Metta Aquilla" alarm & immobiliser, installed in 1997.

Thanks guys. Pete, can the PTU fail that sudden, have not had problems with it cutting out when hot. Scoops, the battery seems fine, the head light are bright and the alarm sound is very loud, I will try giving the starter a bash tomorrow. Cheers.

Yesterday was driving about no problem, went to start car this morning and nothing. The starter motor doesn't turn, ignition lights come on and when try to start I hear a faint click behind the dash but nothing else. I have taken ignition fuses out and checked visually, they look ok. Trying to work out if it is faulty immobiliser or something else. Please help. Thanks.

Very nice looking car, especially being a BMW. 840ci spec: 4 litre v8, 286hp at 5800rpm, 295ft/lb torque. Weight 1780kg. Top speed 156mph, 0-60 6.9 sec. There is also a 5.6 litre v12 version with 380hp, would imagine that is closer to 2 ton though.

Congratulations Dude on your 10 sec run, any car that can do that is fast in my opinion. 10 sec has been done with quite a few zeds but only in the US, not heard of one doing it in the UK.

The rx7 is a great car. Mate has one and it really does go. It feels more sporty and nimble than the zed, but its very cramped inside the cockpit. Them twin rotary's are a masterpiece of engineering and a good talking point, but can be expensive if thing go wrong. Highly recomended car if you can't find a zed.

LOL, you could hardly call them cars "supra's". As if a Toyota Supra could do the 10 second and still be called a "supra" :rofl: yeah right. They would have to have liposuction to remove all that lard they carry lol.

Right guys, i've decided to get rid of my boost jets and go for a Greddy profec b spec 2 boost controller. A couple of questions though, what is boost creep and boost spike? It says in the write up that it reduces creep and spike. Also how long should it take a reasonably capable mechanic to fit it? Cheers.

Well, the guy 3 houses down from me has your old zed (Telford) the one with PIL on the number plate. Had a look at it the other day nice motor, and I can say he is the sort of bloke who will take good care of it, he is totaly in love with the thing. He has taken the racing harness out though. :confused:

Wow! This guy sounds like he knows his stuff. Would be great if he could support us at this event. I plan to get NOS eventually. Next year I plan to go up to 500bhp@fly with NOS, let me know how your setup goes.

12's are def possible, I have a vid of a zed doing it in 12.63 sec. As for in the 10s would you say the yanks are lying about that time?
