Hey! I was just going off what I was told. I was told it was all original and there is no hard proof it isnt. Just mechanic says the turbos look too good for 12 years old and 155,000 miles and they said that the gear box usually has a polished metal something or other but the one on mine is black. :confused: what ever that is. My car was a company car for a very long time so the reciepts for the work may have been kept for the accounts for VAT purposes. But my car is still great :D :D :D :D :D Stuart

My car is having a clutch change at the moment, will be ready tomorrow :D. Anyway, talking to the mechanic and he says that he really doubts the turbos are original which I thought. He said they are way too clean to be original and too good condition from what he can see from the outside. Also I asked if it worth changing the gear oil while the gearbox is off, and I was told that the gear oil is perfect and it looks like the gearbox has been recond too. :S So far out of this clutch change I have got new turbos and a new gear box. LOL ;) Anyway, another question. My downpipe is blowing. I asked if they could patch it while its in the workshop and I was told that if its an area under the heat sheild its hard to get cos it means taking the shield off and then putting it back after, but then it will rattle like mad cos you can never get it back on properly. So I may be looking at getting new downpipes soon. What shall I do? De Cat or stay stock? Stuart

Doesnt the manual take more oil than an anto. I have to buy more than 4 litres of it at a time cos it takes more than 4 litres.

Damn sexy too. These are the new ones too. There are other like the E-Type Jag, and the Triumph 2000. My dad said he had a Triumph 2000GT and said it flew. The final say is yours. Both are fantastic cars, both are great performers. The running costs of the cars I think will be very simalir. You have heard from both ZX and a couple of Supra owners and both of them have said they are both great cars. If you get a 92 or 91 ZX you can get it on classic insurance, but I dont know if your age will effect it. I dont know what year Supra you are looking at but the first year a car is out tends to be the worse. Look at the new MINI, has the most recalls in history. The 89 Z has a few niggly problems but most of the troubled parts would have been changed by now. You have to come back and tell us what you are going for. Stuart

That happened to me. I cleaned and reset the TPS and all was fine

Are you sure its a K&N? Does it say on it? If it is they need to be cleaned with an oil. Others can be rinsed out but make sure you dry it fully
