I am presuming that your car is a none turbo with 7.6 seconds. If it isnt I dont think your turbos are working at all. What reg is your car it could be the Z31, the older 300zx. If it is the newer 300ZX G reg and upwards (There are a very small amount F reg) was the water coming from the front of the car but to one side. If you are looking at your car from the frint, if the water is coming from the front right corner of the car, it will more likely be coolent overflowing. Its happened to me. Stuart

Oh god no. Its so common now. Land Rover, BMW, Lexus all make lights like that, and now Corsa, Saxo Punto boys have them on their cars. The Z rear lights may look dated but they are distunguishable, unique. Stuart
  3. No that controller is made by a few companies in the US, and other places too I think. There are about 3 or 4 companies which make them and range from 1 joystick to the 2 joystick with the seats to the 4 joystick setup. Some even offer the big tracker ball too. Its not an actuall Arcade joystick, its a PC one, which works very well with Mame. Stuart
  4. My dad has Carpis'. I think he had 3 in his time ranging from dirty brown, gold and then a turquoise 2.8 Injection Ghia. I think they where very tail happy. But I remember something strange about the engine of the 2.8. Cant remember what though. :S I would go Triumph. There will be plenty of scrap yards round the country with parts for a car like that. Stuart
  5. I remember when MAME would only run games like Pacman and Moon Cresta, the really old ones. Now it will run new classics like Out Run, and Street Fighter the original :D. A part of me is thinking that what you have done is stupid and a waste of money though. But its the jealous part of me which is thinking that. LOL I WANT ONE!. Hehehehe Stuart
  6. Its going to be expensive, but there are things you can do to keep costs down. A full rebuild, if you engine has blown in a big way, would be best but the 2nd most expensive choice. 1st most expensive being a new engine from Nissan. Your best bet is to probably buy a 2nd hand engine and put that in. Most places that sell 2nd hand engines give 12 month gaurentee. Was the engine modified? Many Japanese imported cars come over with some modification. Stuart
  7. Old triumph I say. Classic Brittish car lots of chrome which looks lovely when polished. Plus its one of those things that you can do yourself but takes time. But once you have done it, it looks beautiful. Stuart
  8. I dont know, I have never used them but they have been going for some time now. I found it at least 3 years ago and a place that has a bad service does not last that long especially a web company because people wont accept it especially from a web site. Stuart
  9. There are a few diagnostics you can run yourself which will tell you of any errors or broken sensors. There is a person called Jeff at Zed World who for a small fee will go and check out Zs which people are interested in. Try give him a ring and get him to give your Z the once over. Stuart
  10. My thought is that it wont do any harm. Now, any one know and good engine rebuilders.? ;) All I can say is my car has been going very well lately. When driving the car just feels pissed off that Im going so slow and it cant wait for me to floor it. But lately I have also cleaned the PTU and MAS so that may have something to do with it. Stuart

You can buy a whole new engine with gearbox from the US for £5000. That is criminal. Stuart
  12. Whats a lambda sensor? What did they actually do? Didnt you try a injector cleaner? The water temp is a common problem. Its been sat in water for about 10 years. Stuart

    Will GPS have any? Stuart
  14. OK. All chip in for a dyno run and I will be happy to put my car up for the experiment. ;) Better than what that yank said. "That 0-100 in what ever time it took. " And his car stalled LOL Truthfully there is little more I can say. Because the spedo isnt accurate enough to use that for 0-60. Some one with a stop watch isnt good enough to time 0-60. The only real way to see if it makes a difference is to put it on a rolling road, but there are even problems with that as not enough air reaches the engine and heating problems. :( All we can do is ask some one else with the screw to adjust it and let them try. The more people we can get saying yes or nay, the more of an idea we will get. Stuart
  15. Yeah and I have a set of tyres which are totally fecked and another set which are almost new, plus with the screw in I was 2 seconds faster ;) Where do you suppose I get these times from? Stuart.

I think http://www.needforspeed.co.uk have ones called Green Cone Filters for the 300ZX

Hve you got the tech on how to do the TPS? Cos if you put it on in slightly the wrong position it will cause the car to idle too high. You really need a circut tester to do it correctly. Stuart
  18. Did the car stall while slowing down for a corner? That is commonly caused by the throttle position sensor. Give it a good clean with WD40 Stuart

I got Halfords ones for my Z when I first got them. They didnt fit very well and I had to cut away some of the foam rim to make it fit. Thats why I got an induction kit. Its either £28 for 2, twice a year or £120 and never have to change it again. Stuart
  20. You dont need that PHP part. Just the [ img ] parts. Stuart
  21. Take the connectors to the coil pack off and give them a good clean. This happened to me when I was tightening up the fuel lines. When I tried to start up, one cylinder wouldnt work. I checked everything, in the end I just cleaned the plug to the coil and it worked. Stuart
  22. I found it on Twinturbo.net and every one said it was really funny. Im at work and I dont have sound so I cant hear what they are saying, but from reading TT.net posts its a VTEC car owner talking bull Here's the vid. http://www.cybergeorge.net/mustang/Vtec03cobra.mpg Tell me if its funny Stuart
  23. Problem I find with Cordless networking is the 11mbit connection. I transfer a lot of information from my computer to others and 11 Mbit takes ages to do. Stuart
  24. Im waiting for the 400Z :D If they ever make anything like that it will have to v a V8. Hmmmm, Japanese V8. YUM!
  25. Ooops. I got your user name mixed up with some one else. LOL It was very late and I was tired ;) Stuart
