Nice amount of power, but could be too much for a front wheel drive car. I wonder what it would perform like on a track. Its light but RWD dont handle very well compaired to 4WD and RWD. Stuart

I Want To But One - A Zx That Is
There are very little differences through the years. 1992+ became series 2 which had very few differences. The Air Con controls where changed and I think the master brake cylinder was changes along with a few small changes. 1994+ had pre-cats, which are just another type of catalyst converter, which caused a slight drop in performance. Again few smaller changes. 1996+ Variable Valve Timing was dropped to comply with new emissions laws. This caused the power to drop to 280bhp (TwinTurbo ovbiously) Most of the 300ZX's are Automatics. As for UK v's Jap UK: Pros UK cheaper to insure. Parts are usually cheaper from Nissan Suspention harder and should thus handle better. Most are leather interior All are 2+2, Twin Turbo, T-Top. Have wider rear tyres. Top Speed resricted to 155mph. Cons More rust because of salt on the roads in winter Higher millage Japanese Import Pros Most have a lot less mileage than UK cars. I have seen G reg with 40,000 miles. Body work usually better, as they dont use salt on Japanese roads. More choice of 300ZX. Non-Turbo or Turbo. 2+2 or 2 seater. T-Top, slick top or convertable. Most have some sort of modification, from just turbo timers to the power upped to 400+bhp. Cons: Speedo in KPH and but can be converted. Top speed restricted to 112mph. (But can be removed) Insurance usually more expecive, but its getting better, and some places wont insure imports. Newly imported cars need some work to make them UK legal. Good importers should include this in the price. Dont usually get any history with the car. Use a different head light bulb, so no going to Halfords for new ones when they blow. Jap bulbs not too hard to get hold of though. There seems to be more cons for the Japanese cars, but less important than high milage and rust for the UK ones, it makes it kind of even at first.

This is Senna's Ex-car. No Ayton, but Senna on this forum. He then sold it to some one on this forum when he got his Skyline. I think they sold then after a few months. Who owns this now? Stuart

Proper way to drive a car!
You know why they dont use Zs for this. Cos none of them would stop quick enough if something like that happened. Stuart

McClaren F1 zorst - guess the price ?
No dont waste money on magazines which will be thrown away a few weeks later. Now that I have seen a pic I know the car was a Bugatti just not what its real name was. Which F1 you talking about? Where not F1 cars turboed from 1981 to 1988? As for the McLaren F1, I thought it was NA then I hear Mika Hakkinen say he can hear the turbos. You search for some strange things. I have a man being sucked into a fighter jet engine and survive. You want it? Thats what I said they make the box to accomodate the track. No use having a 300mph gear box when you wont reach that speed on the track.

I Want To But One - A Zx That Is
I know you would rather pay for one from the board, but there are not that many on here that young. Have you looked into importing one. They can search for what you want. Stuart

If you want to get a Z that young you are going to need an Import. UK at that age are like rocking horse droppings. How much you looking to spend? Stuart

60k major service
There is no way that you can find out if you car has had this service with out any paper work on it. There may be a garage which has your car on file saying its had the service but unless you know what garage that was you just dont know. On mine, it was written on a sticker on the belt covers the mileage and date the last major service was. Stuart

Does it piss you off? vote now:D
I agree with James. I think its unfair to say that the place has gone down the pan because a few people ask questions who truthfully dont know that their problem is a common one. Also if you look at the old fourm there where never that many replies to posts. 30 if you are lucky. I remember Ajay's Traction Control Group Buy being one of the first I know to go over 100 replies. Infact I think it went to about 120 and the last 20 posts where comments on how big it had got. I remember when it was broken with the buy on wheel hubs I think, and people mosted messages on there just to beat the TC buy thread. LOL :D Now 100 posts isn't that uncommon. If anything its got better because more people reply, but you may say its lost the personal touch with having more people on and more people who just come on every now and then. For God's sake the post about cats has reached over 80 replies. LOL :D Staurt

McClaren F1 zorst - guess the price ?
F1 cars top speed is 220mph because when you increase top speed you lose acceleration. As we know the gearbox changes from track to track to accomodate that track so the gearbox runs out of speed at the fastest part of the track. Take for example Monaco, the track isnt that fast because its tight and not many straights to the gearbox will be set up for a top speed of 180(ish)MPH. But the German and Italian GP have very long straights and not many tight corners so the gearbox is setup for to reach high speeds for these very long straights. Take for example WRC cars. 300bhp and their top speed is sometimes only 120mph depending on what rally they are at, because having a box which can go 180mph is a waste. They need acceleration Also F1 cars are NA because the rules say they have to be. They are very hightly tuned and only last a few races before they are completely replaced. The McLaren engine has to last a lot longer than that so cant be as highly tuned. Stuart

Politics: 300ZX.Co.Uk Euro Referendum
What has europe got to offer the UK? Spain get about 3 times as much money from the EU than they put in and the UK puts in one of highest amounts, if not the highest and gets back the least. The UK is paying Spain to make shit wines. ;) Stuart
