  1. Actually the ones where the signs which tell you to slow down do most of the time make people slow down. Its really a shock to some people that they have been detected going to fast and they have been warned that they are speeding and not fined straight away.
  2. Only the up arrow lights on the drivers side and when I took it apart it looked like that only the up arrow should light up.
  3. Astra 1.3 Merit. 300ZX :D
  4. I still get the hiss from the cap too, it is almost the same sound only louder and higher pitched. Its really strange why I get it. I have replaced my tank and neck a few months ago and it did it before and after I changed it.
  5. No it sounds exactly like when you open a bottle of Coke or something
  6. Here are a few pics showing the Mongoose exhaust a little better. Lovely looking exhaust
  7. Benifits of Traction Control ;)
  8. My tank and neck has been replaced as they did leak. I have filled it up a few times and it has made no difference. It happens randomly. It wont do it for a while and then does it 2 or so times in a week and then nothing for a while. Is there a pressure release valve on the pump? Stuart
  9. A few times when I turn my car off I get a hissing noise from the fuel pump. The sound is very much like the hiss you get from the fuel cap when you open it, but louder and and it sounds like there is more pressure. As I said it has done this a few time before when I turn the engine off, but it has now done it once or twice when I turn the engine on. For example today I turned the engine and just after it started to go on its own accord their was a hiss from the back of the car, which I can only presume is the fuel pump. Does any one know what this is? Stuart
  10. All that happened with mine was the car would stall when I put the clutch in when slowing down for traffic lights or a junction. No warning, or anything, just stalled and all the dash lights came on.

I shall be driving down on the Sunday. Where and what time do you want to meet up? Stuart
  15. There was that Z on some Max Power vid when they had the cars on the air strip. Its was Jools' car or something. Or a person called Jools on here. I remember because his 0-60 times where crap. That car is now round my way. Only see it about once a year.
  16. £1800 was spent on my car just before I bought it. New discs, calipers and pads all round. New rear suspention, HICAS removal.
  17. I posted the video up ages ago. Of Tooleys car that is
  18. Programs to do what? There are thousands of good programs out there and its hard to just say a good program. One person may find one program very useful while another person will never use it.
  19. 10% of you disc is usually reserved for your recycle bin. Also your computer used about 10% of your disc like memory to temp store stuff while it does something and then loads it back. If you start to use up that 10% your computer could become very very slow. Uninstall some stuff you dont need. As for the error. Are you on a network or anything? Stuart
  20. Mongoose wont make it really loud. It rumbles really deep at about 2000rpm which sounds cool. Idle sounds lovely and on the motorway the exhaust sound is virtually gone. Exhausts are said to add anywhere between 3%-5% extra power.
  21. Us the search which is one of the blue buttons at the top of the screen. A few people have done this and you may find some post of them doing the job and what was needed. You may also get ideas on costs. AndyZ on this forum, he has his own section, is always breaking a Z or two. He will probably have some or most of the bits you need. Stuart
  22. Well personally I would not like to take my car to a place where they dont know how long it will take to do. If they dont know how long it will take, they dont know what is needed to be done to change the bearing. Stuart

Why is it? From what I hear more is better, as it helps to keep your engine cool during the summer. But I do know that after a few years, the anti freeze/coolant actually makes things worse as deteriorates. I have flushed my radiator out 3 times in the 2.5 year I have had my car. Last time I would say the mixture is about 75/25 and my car has only reached 80ºC once and it came down in less than 30 seconds.
  25. What people tend to forget that road surface plays a huge roll in this. If it has not rained for a while, like the last few weeks, all the oil and road dirt soaks into the road. When the first good down pour comes, all the oil grease and dirt is washed up to the surface making it very slippy. Even with out the oil and dirt being washed up different road surfaces give different traction. For example, yesterday in Tescos carpark I turned the traction off to have a little fun while drove round the carpark to pick up my girlfriend. The back end kicked out very easily while just turning a sharpe corner because of the cheap smooth tarmack used. It had nothing to do with my tyres or my driving. Just a few minute before I had to pull out of a sharp junction with a box junction painted on the road as well as traffic light Zigzag lines and the usual centre road line. So in other words the road was mostly lines. As people people know these lines become deadly when they get wet. No matter how careful I was at pulling put the traction control still popped a few times. It was because of the lines on the road, and again not because of the tyres. No tyre will grip the lines in the wet, and with councils just going mad and painting more and more graffiti on the roads, roads are getting more and more dangerous. So please dont think your car is better in the wet because you have such and such a tyre, or what has happened to one person hasnt happened to another so you must be a better driver. Its getting cold and getting wet, so just be carful I think the message is. Stuart
