Its quite hard to say what the problem is. It could just be the PCV blocked and need replacing. Or it could be worse.

Wait until the tyres are scrubbed in. It can take between 50 and 200 miles before the tyres are working correctly.

The starter motor I took of my Z today was made my Mitsubishi, as are most of the electrics on it.

Body wise? I am going to be different and be stock ;) Engine wise, its going to be modified quite a bit.

I looked at the midnight purple and I though it was too dark. I had discussions on the GTR forum about it. There are 3 midnight purples. One was OK, one was nice but the purple didnt show too much and the third just looked black. Chunk, it is pearl. Its hard to take a picture of the colour as digital pictures keep bringing it up blue. I wonder if speed cameras make it show up blue. May be able to appeal saying my car is purple ;)

Least you will have your car for the summer. I would hate to be Z'less during the hotter and sunnier months.

I have a feeling purple is faster too. I will do a scientific test when its finished. I have a 1/4 mile time when it was red. I will do one when it is purple and see the what the difference is.

Try cleaning the contacts on it first, it costs nothing and could heal the problem.

I am hoping it will be finished for the meeting at the end of the month. It would probably be the first time it would be taken out. :D

It is really hard to get a pic of the colour. If I take a normal pic the finish donesnt come out but if I use a flash its way too bright. when there is no direct light on it, it looks almost black.

It is a really hard colour to take a picture of. Its more like this in colour but you cant see the detail when its like that on the camera but you can when you see it.

The colour is actually deeper than that. But every one is entitleted to their oppinion. ;) But it is less girly than the pink the paint at the moment is turing in parts ;)

I, well my dad, very quickly sprayed the headlight panel to see what the colour would look like. Hmmmmmm, I like it a lot. :D It is really hard to get a pic of the colour as most of them turned out blue on the digital camera. :confused: You really have to see it as the pics dont do it justice. What you people think of the colour? P.S. I know there is loads of dust on it. We did it quickly as a test, the garage door and back door was open creating a draft, the air line filter wasnt on, the garage hadn't been sweeped and washed out, etc. etc. The laqure also run because my dad forgot to turn the spray down. But that is why we did a test peice. :D

When people post up insurance quotes, could the please post some information about it. Limitied miles, age of driver, any additional drivers, vaule of the car, UK or import, garaged, classic/2nd car etc. This will give us an idea if it will suite other people. Stuart

It could have been resrayed black to make people think its a carbon bonnet. Its garunteed to add 30bhp and take 40lb of the weight. ;)

Any good car paint shop can mix the colour if you give them the code. I have done it a few times.

If it is just the bonnet I dont think it would be accident damage. It could have got dented from something falling on it, or the paint pealed off, so it needed respraying. I know my bonnet was resprayed because it turned pink :(
