300zx More Help Please!?
Every single car has problems. Only yesterday I saw a 53 registered Pug broke down. Some people have problems with their car and some dont. Its like all cars. You may just be unlucky and get a bad one. I have a one which has 168,500 miles on it, and I am just starting a rebuild. The car still runs and runs quite will. Its just a little worn out, its not broken. I have noticed that the standard imported cars have very little problems if any while the people who have serious/recurring problems are the modified imported ones. Stuart

Getting most stuff from there is worth it, but for smaller parts its not.

No. It depends on the size of the package. I was quoted $45 to ship some bushes to the UK. With the shipping it was cheaper to get it from here.

T-top gutter drain holes
The water comes out at the bottom of the rear sill. One of the main reasons the sills rot is due to the drain holes being blocked or the hose is split.

Anyone after a cheap engine?
That has been up before I am sure. It could be a Z31 engine though.

300ZX or SKYLINE? HELP!?
Cam belt change is every 60,000 not 65,000. 0-60 is about 5.5 standard like Sideshow Bob said. Top speed is limited to 155 but taking off the limiter and people have reached 170mph very easy. MPG goes from 30-33 mpg taking it easy on the motorway, 25-28 going faster on the motorway. 16-18 mpg around town

I saw that a few days ago. I am sure Starbuck and Boomer where men. However, I noticed that Sylons are now human and there is one who is living in the human comunity called Number Four or something. Hmmmm does that sound like a rip from another space program where one half human half robot enemy is living with the people?

Rac
Im not impressed with the RAC and I have only used them once. I broke down on Chorley Road in Horwich. Firstly they said there is no such place as Horwich. Then I was told there is no such thing as Chorley Road and that I must be mistaken. I actually broke down next to the road sign. When asked what happened, (My PTU failed, so lots of bangs, pops and a few flames) I told them and I later found out the woman put it down as an exhaust problem. When trying to tell here where I was, she very abruptely and rudely said that she does not live there so I dont know where you are talking about. I that asked her if she had a map on the screen, she said yes, I said use that, I am just off junction 6 off the M61. But she couldnt find the M61. At the end of this conversation I was told it will be 40 mins until a flatbed would be there. 30 mins later, my mobile rang and some man from the RAC asked me where I was, I told him and he said, they will be 40 mins. I have already waited 30 mins, so it should take 10. Anyway, I go a pub for a while and return to my car after the 40 mins. I wait ten mins and my mobile rings. It was the RAC saying that some one is on the way and will be 40 mins. I had already waited an hour and 20 mins. I wait 40 mins. Nothing. Another 20 mins later my mobile rings and it was the person in the tow truck. Asking where abouts on Chorley New Road I was. I told him I was on Chorley Road and not Chorley New Road, he cursed a few times about RAC as he had to pass Chorley Road to get to Chorley New Road, which was about 4 miles away. 10 mins later the truck arrived. It was not a flatbed. It wasnt even a RAC van, but a Green Flag. So my experience with the RAC was, they didnt know where I was and said I was mistaken where I was dispite breaking down next to the road sign and knowing the area very well, diagnosed my problem over the phone as an exhaust problem when it was electrical, the 40 mins wait turned into nearly 3 hours, the tow truck was not a flat bed as promised and wasnt even a RAC one. So, They got the time wrong, They got the location wrong, They sent the wrong type of truck, They didnt even send a RAC truck. 0 out of 4. Well done.

Fitting after market Rad
You can disagree with me and Clarkey. But go on to TT.net and search for yourself. You can then disagree with people who have them on and say that its not as good as good and disagree with the people who put the viscous ones back on.

Engine's back in
Good to hear everything is going so well. I am looking forward to doing my car over the next couple of weeks. My engine runs smooth now, and that is in its worn out condition. I cant wait to feel what it is like when all done up. Stuart

Fitting after market Rad
Like Clarkey said. Look on TT.net. There is quite a lot of information on there about it. The general idea I got, is electrical fans are OK and do free some power, but they cooling is no where near as good. Up to 80ºC they are the same, but on a hot day they just cant push enough air. When the temperature reashes 80ºC the normal fan will probably keep it there, but the electric ones are fighting a losing battle and the temperature just keeps going up and up. Lets also consider that the viscus fan does not come of full strength until it has reached 105ºC or is it 110ºC? Either way when the temp reaches 80ºC the electric fan will be at full power and stuggling while the viscous fan will be no where near full speed. I suggest you search TwinTurbo.net. Stuart

Does any one know how to do a web cam cast?
I dont want to just have the web cam show on one screen, I want to cast it so who ever is on the site or IP address can see the web cam. I was thinking of setting up a web cam in the garage when I do the engine, so my friends can pop in and see how things are doing. Any one know how to do it? Stuart
