  2. no they blocked it but i got round it. They found out and blocked it again. :(
  3. sorry honed ;) Eating PIzza doing work, watching England and typing at the same time ;)
  4. Getting the block horned so I can fit the larger pistons in. Also they will ground the crank if it needs it, which when they looked at said it was in ver good condition. AY3388 asked a few people who rally their cars and they recommended them.
  5. :( Sorry to hear it mate :(
  6. Just over £200 I think they will be. £250 max.
  7. Place called Weir Street Engineers in Blackburn. It has been highly recommended by a few people who use them. Stuart
  8. As most people know I have quite a big order coming from the thge US, and with the exchange rate as it is, it would be foolish not to get something like that. The flywheel is probably on its last legs as it has had 2 or 3 skims already and they dont last forever.
  9. Will it free up much power? Considernig the exchange rate at the moment, it is rude not to buy some more stuff ;) I was thinking about a lightened Flywheel, maybe the segmented one. Do you think it is worth the money? Is it a good investment? Stuart
  10. The plan is when it is "bolted together" ;) I will take it to probably Thor to have a custom chip made. I hear there may be a place local which can do it too.
  11. So on a flat month you will struggle? Whast happens if you are ill for a few weeks? Happens if you have an accident? Brake your leg and cant drive? Sorry to be a downer, you have to think about these things. Another thing mate, health care is fantastic. We have it here. For example some one really did his knee in playing football. Went to the doctor and there was a 4 month waiting list to see the specialist who would then say whether he needed surgery, and then its on the waiting list for that. He then went through the works health plan. He saw the specialist that week and has the op the next week. About 2 weeks from telling work he wanted to use it, to having the op. Stuart
  12. Im happy with what I get. The boost will be around the 17-18 mark.
  13. Bigger company. Does that mean more chance of moving up?
  14. Just a bit of fun, because I am stuck in work watching 3 international football matches. :( How much do you think my car engine will produce at the wheels when its finished? Its a manual. The spec will be 87.5mm Wiseco Pistons, 555cc Injectors, Dual POP with Apexi filters on, JWT ECU (Setup for 555cc and Dual POP) Lightly Unorthodox Racing Pullie Stock Turbos with uprated internals Greddy Intercoolers, AVC-R. It already has on Mongoose exhaust, Decat pipes, With all that new Harness, lifters, O2 sensors etc, so it should be running well Vote how much you think AT THE WHEEL it will have. Just a bit of fun. Stuart
  15. That is true. If you are wanting people to pay to get the advice, dont you think we should have more of a professional way of people subsctibing? I mean people sending cheques to a moderator for them to put in their personal account does not reflect well. No offence to Ajay but looking bad for every one. Also the members who pay by paypall and then have to post to on the forum to activate them doesnt look very good either. Stuart
  16. I cant believe it. Weeks of hard work and the engine is gone. It feels strange walking into the garage and not have to walk round an engine. The heavy lump engine is reduced to a size where you can pick it up. It is the strangest feeling. Anyways, the block is now at the engineers as well as the crank. Their first reaction was the crank didnt need anything doing to it but they will check it out anyway. Not bad for so many miles. You should have seen the size of some of the cranks and conrods they had there. I saw a conrod which was close it not over half a metre long. Anyway its good to know that the block is in good hands. :D He was impressed with the pistons too :D Stuart
  17. Nice work :D Good to see another Z in lovely condition :D

There are a few Z specialists in the Manchester area. C&S Woods on the East Lancs, GPS in Leigh near Wigan, Hiteq in Wigan. I know you have your mechanic who you trust, but with specific problems like this it is always best to let some one who knows the car to have a look as the problems you are having sound very Z specific. You Subaru mechanic would be good for the more universal problems. For quality used parts, check out AndyZ in the traders section. Its a hell of a lot cheaper than buying new. The power steering problem us usually caused but the speed converter on the dash which changes KPH to MPH on the dial. Because the powersteering is speed sensitive, it will get confused if bad speed signals are being set the the ECU.. It could be faulty or needs rewiring. Probably best to get a new one. The vibration from the rear of the car at 40-60mph could be something wrong with the HICAS. Is there any play on the HICAS arms or on the wheels its self? Hope this helps. P.S. There is a ZX meeting at a pub on the East Lancs Liverpool way. Its probably 15 miles away from Manchester. You going to join us? Looks like there will be about 20 300ZXs there and possibly a 350Z. Stuart
  22. How the hell can the 2 cars be "written off" by one reversing off the drive and the other pulling out of a junction. What are they mady of? Glass?
  23. Yeah but its quite hard to get it right. And Im lazy
  24. Yeah it was posted a few weeks ago. Some say it is fake but I think it is real. The front wheel caster is too far back.
