  1. my mate is lending me his untuned ecu tomorrow so ill unplug the SAFC and try that - im really f@@ked off with it at the moment Just when you think your car is in perfect condition :(
  2. Ive had a misfire for the past few days - its bloody awful. Checked all the coil packs and it seems to be either the ECU or the ignition amplifier that is the problem. Drivers side front coilpack is recieving no power, ive swapped it to a different plug and it works fine. Could anyone shed any light on this ? I recently wired up the apexi SAFC and one of the small earth pins on the ecu was loose so i replaced it - could this be the problem ? Thanks for any help - as usual - Mike :headvswal
  3. oh yea all the hose work has been upgraded and i made sure the car was in tip top condition before installing NOS. Really easy to install and the kit was offered to me cheap so thats why i went for it

Sorry i didnt reply to this thread earlier - i hardly ever read the general section Nos is running a 100 shot - 50 per head mate - gives approximatly 80 bhp at the fly Devin Ecu Bomz Underdrive Pulley Hks induction Exhausts (decat) 2.5 inch straight through (no silencers) - although there is one on it at the moment (getting it removed again in a week or so) Megan Racing N1 mufflers to go on (apexi Super megaphones at the moment) Apexi SAFC Air con removed (belt cut) and i recently discovered pentroof manifolds already on the car when i got it. car is running about 380 bhp at the mo - but im going for racing cams soon i think to break 400 horses - then i might remove the NOS as its a bit gay This is the link for the devin ecu - http://cherrypicker.tripod.com/id10.html If you email Devin himself- he is dead helpfull
  5. id forgotten about that advert !!!!!!!!! blast from the past lol I got an integra Type R in the end - but now its gone. Ive always wanted a crx fully modded. I picked the type R up for peanuts and should have kept the engine as ive just been offered a crx for 200 beans :) with a blown lump I will delete that advert pronto - thanks MATE lol

  7. Just been informed this could be water getting sucked through the AFM as it was so wet ! Sounds good to me
  8. Car has been fine, last night we wired up the ApexiSAFC and found that there is a dodgy earth pin on the ECU (not the main earth but the one the SAFC goes to). We are gonna redo the connection on sunday - and everything works fine in the car. Im driving down to plymouth today in HEAVY rain, and when i give it 100% throttle it gets to about 5000 rpm and starts misfiring, in every gear. I slowed down and gave it about 50 percent throttle and it went right up to 7000rpm no problems. It might just be a coincidence with the fact we fiddled with the ECU last night, or it might be damp somewhere, but i wondered if anyone else ever had this problem ? Also, im running twin turbo Iridium plugs in the car, which im going to inspect in a few hours (when its cooled down a bit) - dont know if this would cause a problem ? It was fine a full chat till i hit the motorway, then i started really badly misfiring at full throttle - which makes me think WET - but surely on coil packs this shouldnt be a problem ?? Any help would be greatly appreciated - Mike PS. Its an NA

  18. i may try and super charge it - if i can find a suitable place for the charger - which doesnt look too easy. I can get superchargers very cheap though - so it might be an idea. Thanks for all your help - im currently looking into this with a view its probably too expensive. Nevermind - i am happy with the performance ive already got, but its always nice to get MORE POWER

  20. I was just wondering if anyone knew where i could source a second hand or new bolt on turbo conversion for my NA Zed. Ive been looking at Jim Wolfe Tech Sports 650 (JWT) turbos or greddy TD05-16G, but ideally i want a kit that has everything i need for the job - all piping etc And before you say it - no i should sell and buy a tubby. Mine is mint i know the car and its already tuned to capacity for an NA - so i dont want to start again ! Has anyone done the conversion before ? If so could they tell me all i need for the job - injectors, ECU etc Any help would be greatly appreciated - and if ive got to remove the engine then i will port and polish, and get some JUN adjustable cam gears too - but if its going to cost 10 grand then i wont bother Thanks for any help peeps
