  15. As some of you may know my afm broke the other week so i fitted another and thought - surely afms can be repaired ? Is it just a resistor and a thin piece of "fuse" type wire that breaks ? Or is it something stupidly electronic? Thanks for any help - and if anyone wants to send me broken afms id love to see if i can recon them Cheers :mac1:

  22. Had this problem the other week but never got as bad as last night. Im obviously running aftermarket HKS cone filter, and taking the car out in the wet causes some bad ass hesitation problems - as the 99spec nose just throws water into the filter. (i was supposed to be making a guard for this last week - didnt get round to it, now im suffering) Im flying down the motorway in the wet, and eventually off down a side road for 5 miles then the car starts spluttering so bad it cuts out. I managed to get it to a car park and left it for about1 hour. When i got back i removed the air filter(it was soaking), put it ontop of the fan and idled the car for about 20 mins to dry out the filter. Once i put the filter back on - the car would run perfect in every gear up to 2500 rpm, then i would have to either change gear or it would just splutter and hesitate real badly. This was enouth to get me home, with a flat out 56mph at 2500 rpm in 5th WOOHOO. When i had this problem before, it never did this "2500 rpm" cutout thing on me, it simply didnt perform past 4-5000 rpm, so im wondering if ive blown the AFM, or the ECU is on somesort of safety trip The car has now been left overnight with the battery disconnected (to reset the ECU)in the dry - havent tried it yet. Any help here would be most appreceated - thanks very much PS. its an NA Manual PPS. Sorry about the epic length of this post - Mike
  23. Read two posts above Mark - already on the car when i got it - but you can get em from maplins/RS components or any eleccy wholesaler
  24. To be honest mate they were already on the car when i got it, but having recently taken the dash off they look like maplins/RS stuff - little resistors with the LED attatched. I reckon it would be easy to do. I did have a pic but i cant find the bloody thing - sorry
  25. Ive got blue led bulbs and they look awsome IMHO lol
