I spent over 15k on my old zed - all in the right areas, and it broke down at the best of times. Oil pumps x 2 3 x engines headgaskits injector seals ptu radiator blown coilpacks heater matrix manual gearbox Correct me if im wrong - but all common problems And dont start me on afms - and how they love aftermarket filters and rain lol Sorry - just touchy on this situation. For 15k worth of work and 6k for the car - i should have had a car that was the best looking, handling and tasty Z in the country What did i get ?? 3 grand trade in against an R32 GTR And now the heads have gone again

Te zed is one - if not THE MOST unreliable jap sports car ever sold. I know hundreds of ppl with tuned jap metal - and nothing, i mean NOTHING breaks down like a Zed. Zeds look and sound the shizzle, but engine wise - nissan got it all wrong. Hence the RB26 - straight six, two turbos - strong as an ox. V6, two turbos - tow truck I love zeds, but i wouldnt in a million years say they were reliable - unless you are one of those people who never see over 30 miles a month, never see rain, never go over 70 (unless its for like 5 seconds), never go on track, and generaly never have sex - then it will be as reliable as fook hehe Now flame me - but you all know im right Who cares if its an VXHL or a saab - if it has turbos its tunable, and if its tunable - then it can be made FAST. Thats what matters to some

thats sipos astra - it will destroy most zeds on here - know him well very quick car indeed

cheers guys - ello dave !! Body work has no rust whatso ever !! But im tempted to opt for a MK3 supra too and go the T4 way for 350 hp. I love mk 3's cuz there are hardly any around that look mental - same reason i like Z's !! So im torn Think im gonna keep the Z and get some quotes for a new / recon block. Then spemd 100000 dolla again lol. I hear what your saying about selling it for bits - a decent Z is 3k + (5 really) and i aint gonna get that. Hello all again. Some of you may know me from ages ago - my names chopper (mike), and i used to have a rather quick sexy black NA manual @400BHP with NOS etc. Well after a GTR32 (366BHP) UKd1 winner, a honda ITR (supercharged) street race winner, a Matt Black 330hp Scooby (got nicked two weeks ago) im back to Zeds again. And i must say i have well missed them !! I got a TT auto the other day from a friend of mine, that has a suspect head gasket fault :( It wont start, and when he tried to start it, fumes came out of the rad cap (suggesting HG) then it would nt start again. ALso on checking the oil and water - both were empty :rolleyes: ALso the local pikey scum have bricked the side windows !! Bonus But as soon as i saw it i fell in love. I got the car for nothing - and it had a brand new mongoos exhaust (not to my taste) cat back/ The rest of the car appears stock. Its tatty as hell as its been owned by one of those Z drivers who is a giant penis and doesnt respect it. Now i for one know that 300ZX's can be an absolute money pit - and a couple of my homies have told me to break it, but i simply cannot break a black 300zx - no matter what, i love them So im hear to ask you guys your informed opinion. Do i ...... 1. Break it - leather interior, targa roofs, etc etc 2. Summer project - keep it in the garage, and take out the engine and try and fix the heads - see what other probs its got (probably many) - my g/friend want to do this one as she wants to get to know more about the insides of engines and turbos etc, plus she would look great coverd in oil !! 3. Try and source a manwell box and recon engine, chuck it all in and off we go 4. Fx the engine, then cams, ecu, stripped interior, suspension, rollcage, 1 bar boost increase 400bhp drift machine ?? Money is a key issue with this one - whatever i throw at the car i will have to save up for, as these days i have no disposable income :( (new home/woman etc) lol Sorry about the story - but its great to be back, hope some of you remember me (in a good way :smash: ) Some of you guys helped me loads with my NA, and it ended up being the most powerful in the UK - so now lets try the TT !!!! You cant mod colours on GT4 mate - but there is a yellow one and a black SWB on there - i can get pics if you want
