  1. Three more to go: If anyone knows if I'm able to attach more than one at a time they'd better let me know or I'll be accused of being a post whore!!!
  2. I'm not sure how to attach pictures but I'll give it a go. She was Miss Blackpool in 2002.
  3. Hi guys I need help. I have an intermittent fault shorting my interior lamps. It causes the luggage and cabin lamp to come on. I have tried disconnecting both doors and the tail lock wire feeds, which has had no effect. I've now traced the relay beside the rear seat, and disconnected that but I still have the same problem. I've tried to find the fuse box (to the right of the driver's footwell) without success, and it's now p*ssing me right off. I have a remote alarm with my locks rendered useless with a key. If the lights are stuck on I'm unable to set the alarm and lock the car. I have to jump back in and cruise around until it goes off, and gingerly return to park, hoping not to nudge it on again. Anyone have any ideas, Simon :( :(
  4. What's the damage then Vijay? Simon:)
  5. My fault, I've just bought Oil pressure, temperature, and water temperature gauges and was perusing previous threads to find out how best to install them. This one almost answered the question for me. I just sought further advice. Sorry if it woke you:D Simon.
  6. Been there, went somewhere else!!! Only on other people's information though. They had a black 1990 tt import on a G plate, with large twin exhausts, which I was looking at, and was fortunate enough to intercept an inspector carrying out a survey for someone else. This was back in January 03. He warned me off, as it had been shunted and repaired. It was one of three, all black that they had for sale. For the price of a couple of pints this inspector suggested I look elsewhere. He seems to sell a lot of MPVs up there now. Hope things go well for you, Simon.
  7. Barry, Just being nosey, but where in Hemel did you buy your 300, as I live here. Simon.;)
  8. Vijay, I like the look of these. Any ideas on price yet? Thanks, Simon:)

Whoops missed that one Mike. Try asking Kitt:D :D :D
  10. Is it possible to take a feed for both existing and new temperature gauges of the one feed, or will this muck up the resistance requirements?? Simon
  11. Don't know where you are Stu, but I've had the same problem from last Fri to earlier today. Might be looking for alternatives if this goes on!!:( :( I'm in Hemel Hempstead (Junc 8 M1). Simon.

I'm on my summer holidays then Chunk, so Happy Birthday anyway, Simon:rofl:
  13. Obviously too well "HID" for you:D :D :D Simon. What is HID anyway??
  14. Is that a twin induction kit I can see??:D :D :D Simon:cool:
  15. I was working on my Z with the bonnet up, driver's window down, filling up the radiator, and trying to get rid of the air locks. Kept starting the car for a bit, then stopping to refill. All was well until I pressed the button on my keys to release the immobiliser (meant to be done with the key turned to on position). Panic ensued as the autoclosure shut the window in my face, to be followed by the piercing screams of the alarm going off. Took thirty minutes to get my spare keys and shut it up. Exit all street cred - stage left!!! Simon
  16. Faisal, If you're replacing your current pod, may I put in a bid for your old one.;) ;) ;) Many thanks, Simon.:D
  17. I have to say if my member was rusty, then I'd be cross.:D :D :D
  18. Similar screech - similar panic!! Diagnosed by expert as turbos (now ex expert as it wasn't!) Rediagnosed as flywheel or starter motor problems. Fixed, loose starter motor, and all for £150. As I'd persuaded "SWMBO" - much grovelling etc - to allow me to spend £1.5k to get back on the road, so I still have some left. I'm now going to get some wheels. It's nice to hear and experience things going the right way with zeds for a change. I hope our good fortune spreads to others, Simon:dance:
  19. ZXcellent!!!!!!!!!!
  20. Happy birthday youngster!! :D :D :D
  21. Rob, The noise continues aircon on or not. Had someone come out part dismantle the driver's side ancilliaries to look at the turbo. He diagnosed worn bearings in the turbo as the rotor had too much vertical play in it. Interestingly he hasn't been back to me yet. Speaking to the mechanic who has dealt with my "lesser" cars, he put me in touch with someone else who specialises in turbo work. He's come round to listen and feels the problem could be related to a loose or damaged flywheel. The squeal appears to be attempting to catch up with the speed of the engine, but is not consistent and also only occurs intermittently. I'm hoping to get the car round to him for a more detailed look. I'm just more puzzled than before. Just talked round "she who must be obeyed" as well. Looks like a lot of grovelling and tears may go to waste. If I get any further info I'll post it, as I've received excellent advice from many contributors on here. Pray it's easy and cheap to repair for me, Simon.:(
  22. Many thanks Smithy. When I can get a better idea on price of labour I'll know what I can order from you. What turnaround time am I looking at? Simon:)
  23. Smithy, I could well be in the market for a set. Hopefully financing will come through today!!:( :) Pardon my ignorance, and hijacking this thread but would you expand on the benefits of the two tubs mentioned above. Would also be interested in costs for fitting, and who's recommended, as I also wouldn't attempt this myself. I live in Hemel Hempstead (M1 Junc 8) so someone local would be best as my car is currently undrivable. Many thanks, Simon.
