  1. Glad someone else is as old as me!!!! :D :D
  2. Chris Goffey, father of Danny Goffey the supergrass drummer. Noel Edmonds used to present it along withTomorrows World presenter William Woollard. God I'm old and full of shit. Time for my horlicks I think....
  3. Roy, that's 25%! :D :D :mac1: 10% would be 4 litres to 40 of fuel. Simon.
  4. Chunk does weight lifting!! :D :D :D Pot calling the kettle black!!!!!
  5. Fuses may be okay, but are you getting any voltage to them? Best way to track down the fault is either working from the bulb or the battery. From the battery, as soon as you get to a place where the voltage has gone, you now know the loss is between there and the previous place you checked. May be a broken wire! Alternatively working back from the bulb, as soon as you find 12v you know the break is just after that. Check the supply voltage on the fuses or relays that you can reach as a starting point. Have to say though it really does seem to be a fuse. Are you sure your getting a voltage on both sides? Simon.
  6. A driving ban is looked at ( automatically ) if you are doing more than 30mph faster than the posted speed limit. You can still get off, but this depends on whether the magistrate got his/her leg over/under the night before. :D :D :D You're probably looking at 3-6 points for 58mph in 40 zone. Simon.
  7. I'll put my two-penneth in. Fistly welcome to zed ownership. The vibration you are experiencing could be from the prop. I'm sure when those with more knowledge see this you'll get some definitive answers. I can say that traction control does not come as standard, although some use it as an add-on. Racelogic is a good one, I'm told. Good luck with it, Simon.
  8. Depending on what your gauge reads: Compression pressure: kPa (bar,kg/cc,psi)/ 300rpm Standard: 1285 (12.85,13.1,186) Minimum: 981 (9.81,10.0, 142 ) Diff between cylinders: 98 ( 0.98, 1.0, 14 ) Remember to use a fully charged battery to turn engine over. If compression on one or more cylinders is low pour a small amount of engine oil into cylinder through spark plug hole and retest. If this helps, piston rings may be worn or damaged. If pressure stays low a valve may be sticking or seating improperly. If compression in adjacent cylinders is low and adding oil doesn't help compression there may be a leakage past the gasket surface. Hope this helps, Simon.
  9. Don't say that Trinity, he'll stop completely! :D :D Well done Rich, I know how painful and depressing it can be. That's a 25% improvement. Keep going mate, you never know a manual conversion could be on the cards. Simon.
  10. I wish I'd known that Neil. Pulled back the skin, ;) sunk my teeth in, :x: straight down the dentist!!
  11. Think of the insurance bill for that guy who had the Selby accident where he went onto the railway, and caused a pileup down there. That runs into millions and is still ongoing!! Simon.
  12. Have a look at this thread posted in FAQs by Mike last March: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=29629 Simon.
  13. Check this link: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=26120 Although according to system diagram the items you want (28 and 29) are in fact the other way round. I have no doubt an "intheknow" bod will put me right on this. Simon.
  14. Uk Yes, Jap no.  Guess what I've got!!
  15. Yes, the offset can change with a different width of wheel. Crudely it's like adding or removing a spacer. The wheel width remains the same, but the position in relation to the hub ( and the car ) is altered. Obviously you need to ensure that the wheel does not rub internally or externally. See if this link helps at all: http://www.twinturbo.net/ttnetfaq/FAQpages/rims.html Simon.
  16. The standard offset for a 7.5" wheel (UK front, Jap both) is 45mm. For the UK rear, an 8.5" wheel it is 35mm. If you are looking to put a different sized wheel on I'd ask someone who already has that size on for their offset, although this site might help a bit. http://www.chris-longhurst.com/carbibles/index.html?menu.html&tyre_bible.html Simon.
  17. Already looked at. Try this link: http://www.aus300zxclub.com/tech/tyres.htm Simon.
  18. My prayers to you and your family, God bless, Simon.
  19. He had arranged to supply me with lights and radiator, but advised two weeks later that due to an accident, he required the items himself. Seemed genuine when I met him, but had to chase to find out why he hadn't brought the stuff across as agreed. He then explained as above. A bit annoying as I could have picked up what I wanted somewhere else, but didn't as I'd made the agreement with him. Hope it sorts itself out for you Maxsunny, Simon.
  20. When I was deciding on which induction kit I found this site to be useful in helping me go for an Apexi. Have a look yourself, http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/filters_test/2/index.html Simon.
  21. Are you talking gearboxes?? :slap:
  22. Let's move away from your sexual antics and answer the guy's (gal's?? - "bird" )question. :D :D :D
