  1. well i would of tried that however i cannot get underneath the car as its low :(
  2. tie what up? i was thinking of shoving it in car :)
  3. imagine getting pulled over and searched if it was a bad drug :( "honestly, i don't know how that got there officer"!
  4. sounds good. ill do that :) by the way im travelling 150 miles... will the steering lock be sufficient for keeping the front wheels straight as i dont have a locking bar :(
  5. i'm thinking my bumper will be easier because i don't have the extra shields that go under wheel arches. so bumper should have less bolts
  6. whats tools needed and how hard is it (bear in mind ive never done it before) :)
  7. yeah see i was told to raise the rear instead and lock the front steering wheel. that way the autobox wont be turning. i just need to remove front bumper as the clearance changes with the rear in the air
  8. My uncle has lent me a recovery Transit which has the bars on the back which raise two wheels off the ground. this option worked out really damn cheap for me and so will be using it to take 300zx to zedworld. as it is a rwd do i need to raise the rear instead or the front? last but not least if the Rear needs to be raised my ground clearance on the front bumper seems scary.... is it easy to remove front bumper? Thanks again team!
  9. ok matey. well i just checked the AA cover my wife has and it has RELAY which will take me to destination....... woohoo will just drive it and see
  10. i have to drive it to get it 150 miles to zedworld :(
  11. started my car up and took it steady until she was nice and warm... Got her up to 70 MPH and i noticed smoke out the rear of the car. It wasn't thick and could see right through it. took it home gently and the smoke wasn't visible unless i put the foot down a smudge. When i was at home the oil reading seemed fine and no smoke on idle.. I did overfill the Autobox and was told it might smoke a bit when the excess shoots out the box dip stick and onto the exhaust however there was no traces of it escaping. The car has sat for 3 months so does this play a part in it? How do i get rid of it? :(
  12. the old contender against the worlds Smallest man............
  13. i guess time will tell but i will be sure to post the fidings because it too me alot of strife and time to try and sort this and no one else had the same problem... SO if i post what if found it can go on to help others if thy do experience this pain in the ass
  14. that a good idea. best see if i can find the leather seats before choosing the trim colour
  15. i went looking into the difference between PVC leather and Genuine Leather. Obviously the look and feel of Genuine leather is a plus but i think PVC (synthetic) has SOME better features for the car.. Mentiones that Pvc sags less over time, Fades less in sunlight, Doesn't need as much care as genuine becuase genuine is like the human skin and needs treatment and moisturising. The biggest downfall was it is more flammable than genuine leather :( now obviosuly we would all prefer genuine but at £75 for 20metres (£25 for 5m) for nice looking cream PVC leather it could cost around about £100 with the Leather Needle and stitching for a fairly descent retrim. I will be going for piping yes it is not as nice as the real thing however compared to the Tweed i have it is a plus
  16. well i have made up my mind. gonna buy the materials and give it a bash. i am a quick learner when it comes to practical jobs. I will start with the interior minus the chairs and then think about what action to take with the chairs. just cant find anywhere to buy the leather aprt from online. trying to fidn a store of fabrics
  17. would it be cheaper to buy in metres and trim myself? i reckon i could do the dash etc.. but i think the seats might pose a sa hard task.
  18. been looking for an interior trim kit like a member had. does anyone know who can supply this? if not then can anyone advise how i can DIY this? My wife is a pro at stitching work :)
  19. Its comments like these that get me even more excited for my upcoming apointment at zedworld :dance: glad to hear your car is sorted
  20. ok i will have a look at getting them gone too.
  21. hey matey, hopefully when everyone is finishing work or on a lunch break you should see more answers . I'm praying for you too for this to be sorted :) . Just out of curiosity (as i am more likely than wrong) but are you not meant to turn the CAS?
  22. yeah i have got it booked on the 26th , can't wait :hyper: do you think it is worth having EGR removed with the plenum bypass? if so what else could be removed?
  23. to be honest i can't quite tell :( when i had the idle problem it did however now that that was fixed i cannot tell a difference on hot or cold. the only time it improved was when i removed the boost jets. it seemed more responsive and accelerated much better. but no matter wether the boost jets are in or out the car has always had bugger all at top end and accelerates poorly aswell as this buckign problem under full throttle Conzult showed everything was good and the only problem other than boost jets were wastegates piped un incorrectly. I have no idea what i am looking for but the only thing commented by anyone is regarding the wasties and boost jets. I really wish i could provide you or anyone more info Si however i don't know what to look for and another Zed garage didn't locate the problem either. The only way to explain is if someone who does know what they are doing having a drive of or in my car. i will try to answer as many questions as you can think of though and can alwasy start the car up to look for anything at idle if you think of something
  24. they were a tad out however Santa corrected it. my idle seemed better but the probelm under WOT still exists :( Ignition timing was also retarded quite far but a fellow zedder help by putting it in the right timing position with a flashing timin gun. but problem was still the same
