  1. you can tell i am not focused today as i thought i read "freakish weather made me polish" i was just thinking wtf! Then i realised the rest of the title... might not have misread it if the title was "freakish weather made me french!" i am now starting to worry what damage.. ahem!!! i mean work, i have done whilst being at work.......
  2. anyone? surely there nust be a few other things i can do or remove whilst the engine is in jeffs hands?
  3. having my car taken to zedworld in a couple of weeks and i think one of the possible things i am having is a plenum bypass. whilst that is being done should i get rid of anything else that is there? I was told by friends that perhaps a aiv removal is good. should i note anything else? cheers all :)
  4. my car is going up there in a couple of weeks so i'll let you know the good work they have done! :) I have heard nothing but good from these chaps and i am glad i made the booking after plenty of other places saying they can get the car running right to no avail. It may be a 300 mile round trip however i think it will be worth it in the end! I will post my findings when i get my car running like a true zed, Jeff will have a lot of little sniggles i think because he will see the mess it was left in from previous owners. e.g a turbo timer that is not connected, Wastegates which are all piped in incorrect, i have taken the boost jets out that were in, and my silicon pipes have about 10 jubilee clips on each (tacky bling) and a stage 1 ECU which seems to be faulty I think he will have a laugh at how the car was setup previously and will most likely be surprised at how my car lasted this long (prays he makes it to tamworth) :( Either way i will let you know how great his work is :)
  5. 26th matey :-) be nice to get the water pipes sorted but the main thing for me really is to get the car running how a zed should as it never has in my onwership. Jeff would need to belt it on the motorway or A road to understand what i mean and get a feel for it as the car is slowish 0-60 but has nothing top end and you can feel the jerk where the engine stops pulling. If Jeff can atleast get the jerk to stop and for the car to run how a zed should then ill be the happiest man alive and would sponser him to anyone because i have taken the car numerous places to no avail, Hell!!!! i would go as far as decalling the car with zedworld if the problem was fixed because i am that desperate! I always worry that this problem will remain with me but i am severely hoping jeff can get this problem solved and show me how a zed should REALLY be :) i will be sure to post how it went and i am sure i will be jumping with joy and if this works i will make sure my car goes nowhere else but jeff (no matter the distance)
  6. ok started car yesterday with santas help. took out pump fuse so car could not start and engine pumped a little oil around. Then put fuse back in and hey presto the car started. battery was fine and even after 3 months had enouh power to start the car (considering i didn't unplug the bettery) COUGH!!!! took it up my service lane a few times and car seems fine.. i have noticed though that when changing to second gear the car jumps almighty hard..... Is this because i havn't driven it for a few months? There are no noises or grinding it is just not as smooth changing into second as it was previous to the 3 month driving gap. Apart from that everything else is ok and used radweld (yuck) to get me there and the water stopped dripping, will be getting it flushed out after
  7. ok found a car transporter for £50 1 day. now i can't find anyone with a 4x4..... it's pathetic that i know nobody.
  8. no i got santa helping me on the weekend as he knows what he is doing. I would prefer to tow it so i am now looking at hiring a trailer for a day. If anyone has one i can borrow (money ofcourse) then please let me know then i can ask a friend for a 4x4 i looked at buying the AA homestart to get me there but i read its too far and will only take me to local garages :(
  9. unfortunately i have no mates and no one to follow me on the journey there so looks like ill have to go on my own and get a train journey back. atleast its all for a good cause :)
  10. i already have a smile with the chance of having my car run atleast standard power again as mine is down on power compared to santas standard zed. I will let everyone know how it goes. my task now is to get the car started and ready for the drive in a couple of weeks :) after having to stare at my zed the last 3 months i am excited to drive it again !
  11. cool. i used to live there and my sis still does.
  12. got it booked in to jeff at zedworld.......... yay!!! it will be great to get the boost or engine (whichever it is) sorted out and the plenum bypass done! top stuff and cant wait to greet this legend!
  13. auto so i fear it may be tricker :(
  14. like the title says can anyone share what could cause WOT hesitations if they had a similar probelm? :) cheers
  15. not sure if this was posted before but whilst looking for other zed owners who might have my hesitation problem on WOT i found this for others to read http://www2.zhome.com:81/ZCMnL/PICS/hesitation/hesitation.html
  16. im excited to drive it again however i have never had this car running standard due to its unknown problem so should feel quicker too once (and if) i find the culprit. however simply to drive it again makes my heart beat (i know i'm sad)
  17. cool thanx for the info. now i need to wait till 23rd for my monies! :( wish it would come sooner. than i can start everything goign again :)
  18. brilliant find. well once payday approaches ill start her up and run her to the mec to get the pipes changed. then ill have to see what goes from there
  19. just want to add a quick sneaky one in..... is there anyone near chelmsford in essex that can look to see if my solenoids, wastegates are connected properly? cheers
  20. phew... thats a relief then... lets hope the brakes and gearbox havnt fully siezed hahahaa
  21. ok so apart from battery dead the car ran well before taking it off the road (minus hesitation at higher speed) and so should have no problems running again? obviusly tapping will commence for a bit but nothing could cause the engine to not run after leaving it for 3 months? cheers again chris!
  22. true. never know... after leaving it for 3 months i might find my brakes and gearbox is siezed :-( might be going nowehere :(
  23. like my other post kind of explains i am going to start the car in the next couple of weeks. Apart from battery dead and probably killed from the deep drain is there anything that i need to look out for when starting it? My car has loud tappeting after leaving for 1 week of not driving it so i worry that leaving it for 3 months means ill probably wreck the engine on startup :(
