  1. I've just had my renewal through from Adrian Flux, £1558 F/Comp, 27yrs old with 8yrs no claims and clean licence :xxx: , I think i'll be shopping around. Baz
  2. Hi John, Do the fuel/timing maps look ok to run the usual 14-15psi without too much danger of a very large expensive bang? Do you think i should expect the same sort of power gains as a JWT/SE chip or more or less? Thanks Baz
  3. Hi all, I've recently purchased a JUN eprom chip for a TT off e-bay and am awaiting delivery, does anyone have any info/specs/reviews for them. Cheers Baz
  4. I know, but obviously i mean if it isn't grooved, which it doesn't appear to be. It's not worth taking the risk if there is the slightest doubt, it's too bigger job to be doing over again in 2 months. Baz
  5. You can get a crank polish which will remove surface marks and still allow you to use standard bearings instead of a crank grind where you have to use oversize bearings. Baz
  6. Hi mate, If it was my money, i would put an extra grand and buy Lack300's car (in the for sale section) , check out the pics in the rides section...VERY VERY nice car. Baz Edited cos i'm a cock head

  8. Hi Jason, Mine did this for about 3 days, when i started it it screamed for about 5 secs and stopped, but didn't do it again for about 20 mins if you stopped it and tried again. I found it was the tensioner on the air-con belt, the bearing was totally knackered, i got a good second hand one from zedworld for £5:dance: Bargain Baz
  9. Mine says 300zx Turbo, makes it sound like a Z31
  10. I paid about £35 inc shipping from Courtesy, took about a week for delivery.
  11. Hi, I brought a pair of Brembo d+g disks off e-bay US and the shipping was only $60, so it sounds like the cost of that kit is really about $450:( ......Bagins, if you don't mind me asking, where did you get the caliper spacers from and what did they cost and are the VR4 disks hard to get hold of? Baz
  12. Have a look at http://www.ztuner.com they do basically the same thing for $320 about £200 plus shipping obviously. Baz

  14. Hi, I did exactly the same, i brought the car not realising it had a knackered box, being a mechanic i tried a few things myself, i replaced the shift solenoids, i stripped and cleaned out the complete valve body assembly etc, the diagnostic showed no faults, i like Rob H went for the manual conversion, it cost £1500 at Zedworld and i'm well happy with it, i went this way cos i didn't want to shell out £1200 to put the auto box right and have to do it again in 18 months as i have a receipt for a recon box supplied and fitted 18 months earlier. If you decide to look into the manual conversion i would highly recommend Zedworld, great job and Jeffs always happy to help. Baz
  15. Trying to find a supplier, sorted now, found http://www.whifbitz.co.uk, they sell Porterfield R4S for £80.21 plus post

I've got 9x18's all round with 235/40's front and 265/35's rear so you could go wider on 10" rims but you'd be risking scrubbage if that's a word. Baz
  17. An air leak into the intake after the air mass meter will cause cutting out when the clutch is dipped. Check all the hoses to the inlet manifold.
  18. Hi Guys, There is an ECU chip for sale on e-bay.com, item number 2426533494... Description:- 300zx 90-93TT Chip ecu 370cc or 555cc 70hp+...... What do you guys think, worth a look or not? Baz
  19. Red reflectors on the rear are a legal requirement, if you remove the red plastic you'll have to fit some reflectors somewhere else.
  20. Thanks for the info. Cheers Baz
  21. Hi all, I've been looking at the APEXi AVC-R and the S-AFC, can these be used together instead of an ecu upgrade or is the upgrade still necessary? Cheers Baz
  22. Hi all, I've just removed the valve body/shift solenoids from my auto box, i've tested the solenoids and found the O/D and lock up solenoids to be ok, but the block of 3, shift A/B and L/P solenoids don't work....My question is, is it normal for all 3 solenoids to go down at once? Thanks Baz
  23. Cheers, I'd appreciate it if you would e-mail me.
  24. AndyP's E-mail address isn't shown on his profile
  25. Hi all, I've been trying to PM/E-mail Craig or AndyP to find out where to send a cheque but i keep being told i'm not authorised, am i doing something wrong or what?
