  1. With mechanical you have to feed hoses carrying oil/water etc into the cabin to the gauges, with electrical you just have 3 small wires so in my opinion electrical are best :D Baz
  2. Hi Mate, I'm selling my 300 so i'm removing the go faster stuff, it may be more than your looking to spend but i have a triple a-pillar pod with Greddy Gauges, water temp/oil press/boost....New the gauges and pod are £385, there nearly new and i'm looking for £280 inc all the senders etc. Baz
  3. The cars a 1990 TT, the car is modded with the usual stuff, to be honet i expected about £400, lets face it 3000mls gets you to the end of the street a couple of times. Baz
  4. My cars a 1990 Jap TT, mods- Wheels, intake, zorst, spoiler, chip, AVC-R, pulley, gauges. I'm 27 with 7yrs no claims. Baz
  5. Hi Matty, What mods do you have declared for that price? I called Houghton today and was quoted £688 with £750 excess limited to 3000mls Baz
  6. I called Houghton's today, Classic policy, limited to 3000mls, £750excess  , £688 fully comp :( Baz
  7. You can fit 2 filters onto one MAF but you need an ECU upgrade to fit one filter to each bank with a dummy MAF on one side cos the MAF will only be reading 50% of the air going into the engine Baz
  8. Hi Mate, I don't know about the t-piece but to fit a twin pop you need an ECU upgrade Baz
  9. When i brought mine, i had to drive back from London to Brum in first and second gear, you get some strange looks driving a Z on the motorway at 50mph :D . Baz
  10. I personally wouldn't use ULTIMATE Z again either, they charged me double the actual amount for shipping, agreed to mark package as a gift and didn't so i got hit for £67 uk tax and ignored several e-mails when i'd been waiting about 7weeks for the item. :xxx: :slap: :nono: Baz
  11. I'm thinking of buying a second ECU as a spare, Baggins is selling a manual one in the for sale section, question is i've had a auto-manual conversion so can i use either or does it have to be an auto ECU? Thanks Baz
  12. I did mine last saturday but i haven't had chance to try it yet  , i was amazed just how much difference in size and weight there was when i got the old one off.
  13. Jeff at Z.e.d.w.o.r.l.d sells a set (F+R) for £450 Baz

Hi Mate, The oil pressure sender is probably knackered, 9 ot of 10 Z's have the same problem, the senders are about £85 from nissan if i remember correctly, daylight robbery in my opinion. Baz
  15. Steve means to increase the boost pressure, could be a problem :D Baz
  16. I ordered an APEXi AVC-R from Ultimate Z about 7 weeks ago, got a letter today, i've got to pay £67 to the customs robbing barstewards. Baz
  17. For future reference, the part number is 4808030P01 and cost £116.45 from Nissan. This may help if someone does a search.
  18. Hi, The torque setting is about 220NM, i replaced my pulley on saturday, to undo it and do it up i removed the nut and bolt out of the starter motor and got a mate to hold a flat screwdriver in the ring gear, made the job very easy. Baz
  19. There's usually a guy selling them on e-bay.com, it says ship to US only but you could ask the question, i've done it on a couple of occasions and some of them will, they just dont want the hassle of shipping abroad all the time. Baz
  20. Hi Jeff, Thanks for the info, it's got to be done so i'll have to bite the bullet and get one, i wasn't expecting that much though. Are they easy enough to do or a bit of a pig? Thanks Baz
  21. Hi Guys, Can you buy the universal joint that joins the steering column to the rack, Theres play in the steering and when i had a look this morning this joint is totally shagged and looks like it's non rebuildable. Baz
  22. I could be wrong but i don't think you can polish the balance bar cos only the ends are aluminium, the bar in the centre is steel, that's why most have them chromed. Baz
  23. Would it be possible to write a chip with a 30mph speed limit and 2000rpm rev limit that could be put into the already socketed ECU when the car is going to be left on the drive for a few weeks while on holiday or taken for repairs somewhere and you don't want some spotty oink taking your car out and caning the shit out of it. Baz
  24. I'm trying to remove it without damaging it too, that way i can put it into the socket and be sure i haven't damaged the ecu while messing, otherwise when i put the upgrade in i don't know if it's the ecu or the chip that i got off e-bay, for all i know could be for an automatic toaster. (Hope that makes sense) Baz
