it has been and the weld has gone and yes i do think its hit some low reallt hard at some point in its life which has caused the crack as there does not seem to be anymore damage?? its only going to cost about £30 to have it done so its not too bad :)

Just thought i would update this thread without starting a new one ;) We couldnt weld up the inner arch so its going into a proper garage who is plating it up properly so it wont happen again, stripped down the car today and still cant fathom out how its happened?? no other damage is present? I have attached a picture of the weld and where its split!! Anyway got a few more jobs done, changed the fuel lines for some braided ones (cheers chris) Installed the hardpipes with hks bovs (sorry si) Ripped out most of the air con and removed a few bits and bobs that i dont need :) So far i have spent about £700 on the car not including the mot and tax so i'm not doing bad and i have bought a breaker to take bits from to make my car a better one and to fund more bits for my car :) Jobs to do: Replace front wings. Replace brakes Replace suspension or certainly springs as it sits far to low Fit 99 spec bumper (already have this) Fit 99 spec lights (need to buy or convert spare lights) Poss buy 99 spec rear spoiler Fit short shifter Buy new gear knob See if my interior cleans up ok, if not then fit the interior out of my breaker as its mint. Need to change the tyres on the volk rims as there lego tyres, but i think the breaker i have coming has near new bridgestones on which happen to be the right size so if there all right i will be having them LOL Get it on conzult to see whats going on as its detting but i think i have a huge boost leak from the passenger turbo so sort that out and then get it running right on 1 bar of boost. Other than that i need a few smaller bits and bobs but this whole project is to see how little i can spend and how much i can get done and make the car run right and look great :hyper: Mike

i once heard a saying about the GTO; everything that goes wrong with them is an earthing problem and the only way to sort it is to bury it further down in the ground LOL

no their both the same, as you said the only difference is the R34 holes are 14mm rather than 12 of the zeds brakes or the R33 brembos :) Mike

just read the instructions and you remove ALL the plastic plugs connect the com port to a t piece and run them to the actuators connect the no port to any pressure source ie intake pipes, balance bar etc hope that helps Mike

to be fair yes the syncros were nismo items int he later box but there still designed for oem power but will just last longer without the dreaded crunch, its still not strong enough to handle big power and while yes it may last a little longer but you will still get issues :( better to upgrade the internals rather than spend near £2000 on a brand new box :) Mike

Well it was a long day yesterday as we burried my uncle :( Anyway we had nearly got home and on the M6 near lancaster its down to 2 lanes with a 50 mph speed limit with cameras so as i'm getting close to the junction i had pulled into the slow lane behind a lorry so i'm behind doing 50 and theres 2 cars outside me doing 50, a jag and a c0ck in a civic type r. So were passing the 300 yard marker and i'm indicating to turn off and the civic decides he's coming off at this junction as well but the jag is along side the lorry and the civic is along side me and he tries to pull into the slow lane!! so i beep my horn and he swerves back, he then does it again twice :xxx: so again i beep my horn and by this time i'm pulling off the motorway so he tucks in behind me. He then flies past me on the slip road nearly loses it on the tight bend and drives off, anyway the traffic lights are on red and goes into 2 lanes so i pull up to the lights and he puts his window down and tells me i'm lucky he doesnt get out of his car as i would regret it :rofl: so as i'm putting my window down to ask him to PLEASE get out of his car i didnt get the chance as he put his window straight up and wheel spun through the red light nearly causing an accident and speeds off???? WTF So once the light goes to green i toottle off and end up behind him again going through lancaster so he proceeds to hold his digital camera out of his window taking pictures :xxx: at this point i have gone from wanting to slap him to thinking what a fooking pussy and a joke so i get my phone out and take a picture of his car so he then takes more pictures, one of which i think would look very nice as i hung out the window putting my thumbs up LOL He then switched his bluetooth kit on and starts holding it upto his rear view mirror as it its ment to look like something??? What an Un Pleasant Driver :rofl: Mike

i presume you have unplugged the oem boost solonoids?? as if you havnt it will boost to 9psi

we always leave the box on as its much easier :)

what i mean is with oem injectors you will run say 14 or 15 psi and the bottom end seems to handle that ok for a good while but you stick 555's in and you are going to want to run even higher boost so all its going to do is put even more strain on an already ageing bottom end ;) i just cant see the point of going to all that trouble for 2 or 3 extra psi :) Mike
