aww ****.... pistons 2,3 and 4 knackered i told bob to put her back togeather with the stage II turbos - i think i'll tell SE to start building me a new engine while i run her at 20 psi and see how long she holds out :rofl: my bet is not past the rolling road someone give me a spec for a decent engine so i can get a quote.

:confused: :confused: :confused: i read that post and was impressed with your seemingly unbiased impressions. and......good experiences should be read about - everyone remembers a bad experience but no-one remembers a good one and since people are more inclined to post about a bad experience the feeling is very negative. every garage will have some good and some bad but the more posts with our experiences the more people can make qualified decisions i say if its bad...post it if its good post it. dont hijak a thread, because if all the post get deleted how is anyone supposed to make a decision. if you have someting really negative to say post it in a new thread, because if we keep getting threads deleted where will people go for advice? ~~~~~>gets off soap box Regards, Alex

Hi Scoops - i have no idea - if SE need to put her on a rolling road to set up the ecu i should find out or if not i might put her on the rollers at the rolling road day - i'll have to see how brave i'm feeling. - she wont put out megga amounts of power though because the engine is essentially stock - i found out yesterday that she doesnt even have 555 injectors

I told him from what i had seen you were glad to have blown your turbos and have an excuse to fit the T28's :D

hi mac, look on ebay - i was looking for a cherished alx plate or a dateless plate and i found B1 4LEX on ebay - i bid the reserve £200 and got it :o) Dont buy off the normal websites - with the new plate regulations prices have seriously dropped. Regards 4lex

Yep - that'll be the police - we have them down our way normally they have the rear sliding door open to photograph through but sometimes they have a large blacked out window so no open door. Best thing has always been to keep an eye on bridges - if there are stationery vehicles then slow down. Failing that get a radar detector.!!! Regards, Alex

p.s what bugs me the most is that i would have paid 9K for a car in the condition of Warrens with a new (but standard) engine re-build.

ah sorry - i believe at one stage warren was running HKS turbos. the block running those turbo's is still sitting in maidstone and is well shagged - when i bought the car it didnt have the original block or anything other than tb22 turbo's - i believe it was a pison failure running over 20psi on standard pistons. I paid 10k for what i was told as a 440 rwhp car and i'll let YOU MAKE YOUR MIND UP. Warren said he would pay foe the heater matrix replacment - which i am still awaing for - i gather he has moved house so this might be the delay.

HI Paul, i'm going to try to phrase this very carefully. progress engineering re-built the engine in dec 2002. when they re-built it they fitted standard TB22 turbo's apart from 555 injectors and a mines ecu the engine is standard. I cannot fault progress for the engine re-build - it seems to drive nice but it is a standard engine. Regards, alex

HI 51x, my experience has been good so far - Pete has asked for the car on the Saturday and has told me to pick it up on the following Staurday so that will be what i'm expecting - I know there are unforseen delays and i will be completely honest with everyone - if everything is peachy apart from the car was late back, i'll tell everyone that everything is peachy apart from the car was late back.
