hi eddie, do you mind if i ask how much 'intergalactic' was ? I have limited cash at the moment but i want to save up for an engine re-build for next year. Hopefully put some decent turbos, new pistons, cams etc maybe get it stroked - all depends on the budget regards, alex

i agree - always ask for the photo. I've heard stories about the police not being able to provide to photo evidence so they couldnt prosecute. anyway 3 points aint so bad pitty the poor old bugger who flew past me the the roadworks on the M1 this evening. 50 mhp restriction in roadworks and i reckon he was doing at least 85 when i saw the camera flash. Bang goes his license. Get a radar detector - i swear by my bell radar - you have to put up with some false readings sometimes but it has saved me many a time. regards, alex

thank you stuart, i know i really know nothing technical about cars - but no it's not on auto. asume its set at 10'C with full fan - loads of fan noise - no air. regs alex p.s. it doesnt change if you alter the vent settings either

after 40 minutes or so of my air con working the air flow drops down to almost nothing. It isnt the fan because i can still hear it. Its almost as if the cold air is going......................somewhere else! If i turn it off for 10 minutes it seems to work again. Has anyone experienced a similar problem if so any help greatly appreciated.

Hi Andy, i'm another one driving around with a bypassed det sensor and i'm running 14psi boost so i should probably get it fixed. I phoned 3 of my closest nissan garages, one quoted £1400 labour and one £1200 labour and one probably £800 but didnt have the tools to work on a zed. so i suppose what i would like to know is there a garage local to me (south buckinghamshire) who could replace my det sensor for less and am i going to shag my engine without it. oh i heard you could put another one in a different place - is this viable? Hi Stuart, as far as i am aware they are not weight but induction coils which work on magnetism. The can detect the axle for a vehicle when they go over them - same for traffic lights i believe.

hi willie, if they are the red eyes south of peterborough on the A1 they dont set off any radar detector because they have road sensors which activate them. yes they are active they are red eye so photo the front of you and they are mounted in the centre of the road so they occasionally change direction. ~~~~~> hope they didnt get you regards, alex

HI Bill, my Zed is going into zedworld on Monday to have the ECU remapped - i think jeff uses his own specifiactions - if you like i can give you a feel of before and after. Hi Stuart, i was going to see loads of zx's but i saw mike's and didnt bother with any others - i just thought, thats the one and bought it! nothing like a little impulse. - now to spend a bit of money on her. the pictures look great - wish i'd seen the website before now - of course keep the pitures. hi stuart, i know - i took it jeff today for him to have a look at - and yes it was running in safety boost. faulty knock sensor. Jeff has by-passed it for now but it will be replaced next week when the ecu is re-mapped. your right it is a great car - needs a jeff special TLC service but apart from that she's fine. i doubt she's running 14psi - what is the norm with a standard chip, the boost guage would suggest 10 psi ish. the car was 1st reg in 94, however seatbelt stamps are '93

Many thanks to Kirbz who sold it to me. it will be going in to see Jeff next week for some TLC and a little tweaking ::D after which we will be around s.bucks and the home counties. so i'd just like to say hello and wave if you see me.
