  1. no s**t - i looked at the 16G but it was just too much money - how anybody could want a bigger turbo than that is beyond me - its a car, not a rocket (apart from stu and the smw1 spaceship):D Regards, alex
  2. Hi Jay, i didnt know that - but you may be a very useful man to know. Did you connect it to the det sensor, i'm going to experimnet running higher boost levels and if i know that the e-01 is on the look out, it will make me feel happier. Regards, Alex
  3. 16g 18g or 20g do i need to ask :D what about the injector thingy?? Regards, Alex
  4. aiiiich - i keep looking at it and it really is horrible
  5. hi mike - come on spill the beans - what turbos are you fitting? what boost - how many hp - what qtr mile times are you expecting....... ........... AND....... ....... .......... .......... did you just win the furkin lottery? :D Regards, alex on a more serious note can you explain the extra injection thinggy to me - I spoke to Bob the other day and SE are working on a system based on 12 smaller injectors to reduce the lag that 6x 555's give you. - is it the same as that??
  6. its criminal - thats what it is
  7. HI Eric, thanks for the response - i think that has cleared my mind a bit - definitely time for some 555 injectors. I am running with a custom alu radiator but i am unconvinced about its performance. i think i'll fit 555 injectors and run it at 18psi for a while and she how she goes from there. Kindest Regards, alex
  8. Hi Lymon, thats seems a lot of horsepower to me and a lot more than i have been lead to expect, however i know your opinion is respected on the forum so i would be grateful if you could clarify in your opinion what my engine could run safely. i am currently running t25/28 hybrid roller breaing turbos, HKS intercoolers, HKS superdragger exhaust, SE exhaust downpipes, Fidanza aluminium flywheel, SE vernier pulleys set at 5' intake advance and 15' exhaust advance and greddy profec e-01 and emanage system. does you original post suggest that if i upgrade to 555 injectors I will be able to run a level of boost? If so where would you estimate the safe limit to be? Thanks for your help. Kindest Regards, Alex
  9. as far as i am lead to believe water mist injection doesnt work very well running higher boost levels because you are trying to pump water mist against higher and higher pressures - pissing into the wind as it were. Regards, alex
  10. if it's heat that is the problem - I'm running HKS intercoolers - so that should help - maybe i'll give it a go at 16psi :D or 17 psi if i'm brave :D or.........doh someone stop me
  11. If smithy says its ok then i'll give it a go - and I wont hold him responsible at all - honest :slap: Is there anyone else out there runing 18 psi on stock pistons?? If so speak up ye brave souls Regards, Alex
  12. Hi Smithy, i know the tubs do 18 psi easy but i'm worried about breaking my pistons. Don't you run with forged ones? I am using a greddy e-01 to control the boost. Regards, alex if you think i can run 18 psi with no damage to the pistons then weyhey - 18 psi here we come
  13. they're as common as muck now - but i really like the 99 oem - i prefer the curved less aggressive look. Anyone looking to get a wings west bumper beware of the ground clearance - i used to have one and i grounded it everywhere, i think the 99 oem is an inch or so higher. Regards, alex '99 OEM front
  14. as the title says - i know 14psi is the maximum that you should run an engine which doesnt have forged pistons. I would like to hear from anyone who is consistently running more that 14psi on a relatively standard engine. I was thinking about running 16psi - but i just dont know whether to risk it. Regards, Alex
  15. dont you worry - all is in hand - i'm just waiting to add mine to the list. basically SE has got the raw data which can be inputted into excel and a graph drawn up as a comparrison. Unfortunatley Claire is no longer with them so it didnt get done - so i'll do it - i'm on the rolling road on Friday 28th and i'll post the data shortly afterward. Regards, Alex
  16. if you like changing gear so much why didn't you get a manual:rofl:
  17. still interested - if he can get me a single piece cf prop for £1000 i'm in - hasnt anyone got a second hand prop we can send in? Regards, Alex
  18. i agree 45o bhp as "standard" i wish i had 450 bhp as standard :D Regards, alex
  19. holy mother, does that fit under the hood or does it poke out the front  photoshop's welcome :D Regards, alex
