this post says nothing ! i make no bones about the fact that i think SE are a good outfit - i think they have the best knowledge out there - That isnt to say they dont piss me off sometimes - if you have something to say that isnt libellous then you can say it on the forum. Regards, alex
  7. HI Ben, - sorry to hear about it - at least no one was hurt. do what i did when i wrote off my zed - get drunk - have a cry - claim on the insurance and go and buy another with traction control. Regards, alex
  8. why not ?? - a fleet a tt's turn up to look at a na the salesmans face should be a picture :D
  9. i second vijay - what do you want out of a '99 na. nothing wrong with that but you can probably find a TT on here well looked after so almost everything is new - I dont live far away if you come down to rickmansworth take the na for a test drive and i'll meet you and take you out in a 14 psi TT. Regards, alex
  10. HI Stu, why not wait for the rolling road day - there is bound to be different turbos there and you can see what difference it makes - Regards, alex

ohh dear let the flame wars begin. you will find that people either seem to love them or they hate them. I'll put my cards on the table now and say that i dont use anyone else. now that's not to say they dont have their faults. From my point of view and reading their history you wont find anyone in the uk that knows more about a 300, 200 or gtir. However they aint cheap and their customer service has been known to let them down. once you've been sat on your arse for 5 hours in the waitng room but know that you couldnt possibly take the car anywhere else - then you've had the SE experience. i know - i've sat on my arse - i fully expect to sit on my arse again - but the zed just keeps getting better - hope this helps regards, alex
  12. Hi Smithy, just a thought but pete is designing a map for me at the moment for nismo 555's, maxi-flow air intake and your stage II-III turbos. Its still a long way from being perfect but if he can get it right then just buy a duplicate of that one from SE. Regards, alex
  13. HI Mike - better than she was, engine remapping is a bit of sore point at the moment - she was running sweeeeet - really sweet a dream to drive then i changed the injectors for nismo 555's. SE ran out of time with the custom map so she ran like a dog - i went down the other day and spent another 3 hours and she is running well but i've still another session booked early january to try to complete the custom map - god it's labour intensive. i'm running 380 bhp flywheel at 11 psi without the e-01 set up - the boost was very irregular on the rolling road down at se - compared to the rolling road day - i have more torgue than all of the cars tested but the bad fueling meant that i just tailed off dropping the bhp figure down. Bear in mind this was at 11 psi and the cars at the rolling road day were running 16 psi. I am hoping that with more work to the custom map we shooud hit 440 ish on that rolling road so fingers crossed 460 bhp at thor in jan. Hows the project going? are you going to make thor?? Regards, alex
  14. surely the cost involved in re-mapping the ecu is not in the physical chip itslef it's in the man hours of setting it up. just my 2p Regards,
  15. un - f - believable what are they like ??? I hope she is really sorrry and really really trying to make it up to you. :D i hope the damage wasnt too bad Regards, alex

  19. OK so I thought I had to post this because I promised to post the good bad ugly etc. and I’m really trying to be as unbiased as possible so bear with me. For those who have read my posts know I am a big fan of SE – I honestly believe that there is no outfit more knowledgeable with the zed in the UK. When my car last went into SE it was to have smithy’s stage II-III roller bearing hybrids fitted along with some other work. When the car came back I couldn’t sing their praises enough. She was like a completely different car, fast responsive and very very smooth. Well 800 miles have gone by and she went back to have nismo 555 injectors fitted and then a custom ecu map on the rolling road, there was a bit of a delay because we were to take out the mines ecu and replace it with a socketed ecu but she was ready to be picked up on Wednesday. So after phoning on Wednesday and being told to come and pick her up I duly arrived at 6pm. Petes’s expression did not bode well! Last time I picked her up he was telling me about her responsiveness and drivability but this time he was telling me that the map was not his best work because it had conflicted with too many other jobs. I was offered a free re-map at a later date however. Well when I took her away all was not well – in fact she was decidedly sick – at about 75% pressure on the loud peddle the engine floods with petrol which ignites in the exhaust. I couldn’t even get the e-01 to come off learning mode – so I limped home on safety boost and stored her in the garage. Now I am booked in for a remap in a couple of weeks but it doesn’t stop me feeling let down. I would rather the car was delivered late than faulty. So finally I say please SE sort this out – I have no doubt you will get my zed running well again but does it have to be this painful. Regards, Alex
  20. 51x - your pm box is full :D
  21. yes we should - its the same as any post on general discussion - you dont have to read it - to ban religion would be censorship - and thats not what were about. Regards, alex
  22. i agree with geoff so bearing witness isnt just in the kingdom hall - but is here the place??? Regards, alex p.s. nothing against the witness
  23. it all depends on how much you want to spend. i cant now post my torque curve because since i fitted the nismo 555's it runs like shit. But i am trying to get a car that is very resposive mid to low down and try to get it up around 450 hp. For me smithy's stage II-III roller bearing turbos looked like the best option but its a work in progress so i'll have to keep you posted. SE's upgrade is a TB2808 which can push more air through but is slower to spool and if you've got loads of money look at the greddy 16g or 18g they look like a nice package and have got good result in the US. Regards, Alex
  24. nthell more like - sometimes i go through stages where when i start up my computer it is 50/50 whether i am going to have internet access surely it cant be that difficult  Regards, alex
  25. well they seem bloody quick to me !!:D I will hopefully be able to post my torque curve in the next couple of days. Regards, Alex
