hey people i have purchased from "flea-bay" a sandwich plate for my oil temp gauge, and been advised that this is NO GOOD (dumps oil because the seals are s**t). anyway, i have been told that you can get a sump plug with an attachment for a sender unit/switch for an oil temp gauge, which is a much safer approach. problem starts here!!! i have search the net, to no avail! where can i get one of these sump plugs with the connection for an oil temp sender connector??? any help guys? cheers, alan.

hey there if the smoke is blue (burning oil) and it is coming from the back of the engine bay, next to the battery and next to the brake servo, then this is the rocker covers. the do not have a gasket only a bead of sealent, and over time the rear lower corner fails and starts to leak oil and it drips onto the turbo thus producing the smoke. no need to worry about it, mines been doing it for some time now, next time my engine is out i will fix it. hope this helps alan.

hey smw1 have been looking all day and i cannot find the drawing for wiring in the electric fan. took some pics to show you if it helps. get in touch with luke at the Z centre, am sure he will send you his wiring diagram for the electric fan instalation. cheers alan

hey there, i have a Zcentre electric cooling fan and it is wired into the fuse box passanger side at the front of the engine bay. comes on at a set temp. (set by me). can post some pics of the wiring diagram i got from the Zcentre if you like. alan.

hi people trying to adjust mt speedo calibration today........ the potentiometer on the right alters deflection, which i can adjust, but the potentiometer on the left does nothing:confused: (as looking foward). my speedo is reding 5mph under @ 30mph, but reading spot on @ 100mph, and i would assume that it would be reading over @ 180mph by approx. 5mph can anyone help me out with this? cheers, alan.

i got stock calipers at the mo..... but looking for a set of evo8 calipers with a little modded bracket alan

i got a new tub of copper grease from awfolds...... (sorry halfords) and used about half the pot!!?? was thinking about making some new aluminium shim plates for the calipers. would this make any difference? alan

ferodos are good pads, and stop you very well but.............. they squeal like a ba****d!!??!?! or am i mising something on instalation???? alan

hi there, had the same problem with my 300......... the battery was going flat/bad, changed the battery and all good since. hope this helps alan.

hi people i have an a/m oil temp gauge, and need to plum it in somewhere? i have been told that i can drill and tap the sump!!!????! (no!) or, after removing the oil filter you can screw in a housing or "something", then the oil filter can screw into that and the housing or "something" has connections for the oil temp gauge to plum into?!?!? i know its a bit vague, but i am sure someone here knows what i am on about........ i think? cheers alan

hey Pete i can see your reasoning, but it is described as "not vinyl" and being far value for money than leather (which i have had prices from £950+vat+fitting to £1500+vat+fitting) i am looking for something that will get stained, will get rips, will get scuffs, and in a few years from now, can replace again at an affordable price at which leather will cost me too much. or am i being a bit tight towards my 300 interior, i dont know!?? thanks for yor input guys, alan.

hi people first let me say a big............YES!!!!!! got my baby back on the road today and runinnig.......well.....pretty good, apart from hunting on idle. taking her to Zworld to get it sorted soon. anyway, i have seen on e-bay this leatherette trim kit for diy fit or they will fit for you. item number: 290222562045 (seller is mjd 128) has anyone had this kit and fitted by the e-bay seller, am looking to get this as loooks good from pics and from his replies to my messages he knows what he is doing.
