  1. hi people i have an aftermarket steering wheel with no controls on the steering wheel. i have stumbling/hesitation issues at the moment, and was wondering.... i have re-routed the horn wires to a seperate button on the dash, which works o.k., while doing this i cut some of the wires, am guessing they were cruise control etc. which i thought were the horn wires, but were not, and did not reconnect them. would this affect the running of the car... i.e. resulting in stumbling/hesitation? cheers, al.
  2. hi apache sorry mate, dont think we can make it, tried over the last few days to get my 300 fit for mot, but not got enough time to get her in shape for mot and for the road (boost issue's) al.

  4. hi smithy:) yes mate, they have got the small bolt holes at the front for the ducts to attach. ""did not think that that would cause a leak tho"". i did not bolt the ducts onto the smic's as they sre much taller than stock. oohhh, so i need to remove the front bumper again:headvswal (4th time!!!) to plug these bolt holes. i love my 300, but not at the moment!!

  15. update..... i took the bumper of again today and everything looks o.k. may have a small leak, not sure. put it all back together and went for a run and it is still stumbling around 3500 and upwards and when she hits 6000, thats it, no more go in her at all, just sits at 6000 stumbling, like its running on 4 or 5 cylinders. got new injectors, coilpacks, new connectors on them all, series II ptu, jd chip.... she runs fine with just a little gas, but pedal to the floor and its goodnight vienna!! al.
  16. hi matey i have got 350z track discs (brembo) with relocating brackets and standard calipers on 18" wheels, currently running ferrado 2500 pads which squeal like a pig when hot:rant::eek: good stopping power for a cheap price. al.
  17. if anyone is local to me and has a compressor with fittings so i can do a boost leak check, i will be very grateful. have tried with footpump and 12v car tyre inflater, both no good ^^as vijay said^^. am near bury st. edmunds. thanks, al.
  18. how much pressure do u need to put into the system?
  19. hi all, have fitted new smic's, took it for a run and ooohhhh no, major hesitation/stumbling on full throttle, my thought, must be a boost leak. i have made a leak detector as seen on this forum and cannot fill enough air into the system, after pumping for quite some time with a foot pump, to find any leaks. so i tried this.... with the engine running i hold my hand over the intake hole the vacuum seals around my hand and i can hear hissing from the pass ic. like its sucking air, can this confirm a boost/vacuum leak at this location? cheers people, al.
  20. hey taff i got my alluminium rad from e-bay. the rad is made by ASI from japan. very cheap, quality is ok, a little larger than koyo, and no import duty, delivered in 5 days. i think it cost me £125 or so. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ASI-56mm-racing-aluminum-radiator-300ZX-89-97-turbo_W0QQitemZ280275715554QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item280275715554&_trkparms=72%3A1301%7C39%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C240%3A1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14
  21. hi jim tried to send u a pm, your inbox is full and will not accept anymore my friend. anyway, i hear u have a set of godspeed smic's. i have too, and having probs with the ic to close to the indicator when bumper fitted. did u have the same prob? how did u overcome? cheers mate, al.
  22. looks like a bracket to me in the picture on e-bay. (the orange 1) the wliwood calipers alone retail for approx. £120, unlike gtr calipers. k-sport are only approx. £2-400 cheaper than ap racing, depending on what spec is quoted, not really budget.
  23. hey for £600 for what looks like the same set up, with larger discs, i would say no. you can get 350 zed track discs for approx. £100-£200 and relocating brackets for £50-£100 with the same effect with new pads. if you want top q. brake set up, go for k-sport 6 or 8 pot calipers with discs and pads to match. will cost approx. £1200-£1600, but they will stop you on a piece of flysh1t from 100mph+ al
