What are the details? Location? Day? Time? I followed the link but can't be arsed to sign up for the GTR forums! ;) Cheers David
  2. Thought that could have been me ...but it wasn't. I'm often driving between Peterlee and Whitley Bay but wasn't at that time yesterday. Might have been PHatty, think he travels that way. David

Yeah, I could be up for that! Either side of the river is fine by me. Anyone up north got a Conzult??? David
  4. Could well have been me :D thats my neck of the woods. David
  5. Ah, but with the relay conversion you do still keep the long brake lights - the inner bits just sort of become multi functional - which is nice :)
  6. Ah, yes that makes sense! Funny thing is, it definately didn't do it when I tested it - and its never warned me about any of my bulbs when they have been out! (e.g. main beam) Its like the warning thingy has just sprung into life. I'll just use it as a useful reminder that my fogs are still switched on. One very good thing about this brake/fog conversion, the bloke who was driving right on my arse on very wet road didn't half slow down when I switched them on! :D
  7. Got to use my fog light conversion (inner brake lights) in anger for the first time yesterday. When it was fitted I tested it thoroughly and everything was ok. Now when I use it and hit the brake pedal the 'lights' warning message pops up on the dash. I've checked all the lights and everything seems to be working fine. Any ideas what's going on there then? Cheers David
  8. Ah! I'm after one of those too but I've seen a couple of pics already ;) Plan at the moment is to go '99 front and a smooth spoilerless bum. Just thought that '99 spec spoiler looked quite nice and understated. Think I'll try the smooth look first. Can always stick a spolier on later if it looks to naked!
  9. oooh, you got any pics?
  10. Does anyone know which spoiler is the car in attached picture? (picture blagged from AndyP's site). I think the car is a '99 JDM car so guess its a genuine Nissan one. Anyone know if its available? How much? got any other pics from different angles? Cheers David

Is there a 'how to..' on cleaning the idle control valve anywhere? Not even sure where I'm supposed to look for it! Cheers David
  13. and I'm often north bound about the same time in mine. Could have been a bizarre impromptu north east mini meet! Got mine today, I'll keep an eye out for you. Maybe even get the roof off on the way home if the weather keeps picking up! :D
  14. A red UK J plate with little Scottish flags one the front plate northbound and a red import with dark tints southbound. Round about six o'clock. Anyone here? Typically, I wasn't driving mine - d'oh!
  15. When I got mine it had the reverse light light conversion - got me through an MOT but I've gone for the inner brake light job now. Much neater and much brighter! well worth it I think. David
  16. But I bet you’d stopped noticing it until I mentioned it! ;) Mine’s a nice simple one, no HICAS and no cruise. Just wondering if there is a bigger boss I need or some trim of some kind you can put round the bottom of it to tidy it up really. David
  17. No, its actually a good bit smaller. Think maybe it’s the fact that the centre bit of the wheel is so small compared to the stock wheel – or maybe its my photography!
  18. Just fitted my new wheel and well chuffed with it :D It feels fantastic compared to the tatty leather on the old one. But oh my god, look at those gaps round the boss. That can't be right can it? Have I been sold the wrong boss kit (looks to be a momo 12112113507) or do people blank those gaps off with something? Cheers David
  19. unlucky mate. Similar post from a little while ago lists some of the likely damage I think... http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=33639
  20. Cheers, Was just concerned that I might cause damage to the steering column but it sounds like you reckon it can take that sort of abuse without any problems. I'll give it a go. Can't wait to see new wheel on the car! :D
  21. Picked up what I think is a bit of a bargain yesterday. A brand new momo tuner wheel for 80 quid :D I haven't got the boss yet but had a quick look at removing the old wheel. I dont want to damage it or the steering column or anything in the process. Has anyone got any top tips? I guess there is a special puller to do the job by the looks of the two threaded holes either side of the nut. Has anyone made a tool to do this? Cheers David
  22. thanks yaseen but I've got one on Baggins's courtesy order now Cheers David
  23. Got it! Thank christ for that, I can go to bed now! :D
  24. where the hell is the damn battery!!!!
