  2. I will be making an appearance, stick me in for it.jock
  3. was nice to meet some more people, and a blinding day for it :)
  4. 97 in a 30 was on my bike, accelerated outside a village on to a NSL but didnt realise how far the 30 extended past the village, 6.30 am on a sunday morning. I am presuming this is a joke and you are not the sort of owner who buys a high performance car and the whinges about people driving fast. Cos its tossers like that who need to sell every vehicle they own and get a bus
  5. last time i got banned (97 in a 30, if you must know) gave them all the above about job, even a letter from my boss saying I would be sacked if i got banned, still got a 3 month ban, the worst part was they fined me 500 quid plus costs, payable on the day, no time to pay. So watch what you put on the form they will send you to assess your ability to pay, my suggestion lie like buggery, honesty gets you humped :)
  6. The older version only has one setting, so basically on (wet 0% slip) and off. As the guy has obviously cut in an on/off switch, possibly he has used an another rotating switch, the fact that the know is the same means nothing, he could have bought the switch from maplins and used the RTLC knob. Connect it up to your lap top and go into diagnostic, swich it on, then watch what happens when you turn the nob, IIRC it shows the percentage slip. On an aside Race logic charge 118 quid for that switch and LED (about a tenner from maplins) but only charge 30 quid for the complete wiring loom. WTF?? Hope the above helps, if your still having probs , bell me 07812-586102, and i will look through the prog for you hugh
  7. I had one, cahnged it and regretted it, went to get another one and got the 3650, which is thew replacement. Both are bloody good phones
  8. mine sounds fooking lovely :D
  9. Had some AG2 stuff made up in idiot cans about 8 weeks ago, code was in the paint books you mentioned. Word of caution, check the base coat, i used red instead of white as an undercoat and the pig is half a shade too dark...arse
  10. yes, i will have some of this, sounds ok. Keep trying to get to the ace cafe, but mrs jock and her dastardly plans keep foiling me :(

  13. oh, all right then, I will be the voice in the wilderness. I think, if done right, that would look ok, but (and you only need to look at some of the bits on my motor) almost right looks as crap as not right at all. Hugh

  15. Looks well smart james, and i salute your courage, i was going to buy a scrapbonnet to see how it looked and then look at mine, but well done with just going through with it. :)
  16. basically,, if you know what was taken of to do your 60k service (aux belts, cam belt, rad, front egine covers (lower and upper)) thats what you have to take off :( Not a difficult job,, justa PITA. The voices were right,, should have it changed at the service :) HTH Hugh
  17. look a lot like mine,, which i think really suit my car. thanks james
  18. Noprob on the pic james, and i know am a bit late answering this, but i think that will be a load of work to smooth that out, it is a bend in the plastic, not a thicker peice, so to smooth it out will mean rebuilding the bottom edge or filling the ridge,, doesnt look bad though. Bugger me that grillwork was shit.lol Hugh

cheers mate, will have a look at that, gotta be the way forward Hugh
  20. I have one, couple of points: Is a pain in the arse to position, and when you get it into position, you have no control how it inflates , mine works ok one in three goes. It doesnt work off my zed pipes, having four pipes, which are balanced, if you put the hose over one, the gasses just flow out the other three, but it works if I put it on the mrs' car. its a blinding idea, and if you can be arse pissing about, it does work... I find its easier to use the standard jack to lift the car and either put an axle stand under it, or take off the wheel and use a trolley jack (taking the wheel off allows the space to work the jack handle) HTH Hugh
  21. mine has an amp in each box, four boxes in moulded plastic, two fit arpound wheel arch, two into a 'kin big hole in front doors, all ported
  22. may just add confusion, but i have ported boxes, with a preamp fitted in mine as standard :) apparently it was an upgrade option
