  1. I would have a blood test mate, rather than relying on a doctor to diagnose diabetes ot whatever over the phone, specially if your family has a history of it
  2. The thermostat wouldnt cause it to jump around, if its knackered the temp would be wrong, but it wouldnt open and shut fast enough to make it "jump", sounds like your sensor, or the wiring to it is knackered or the guage itself. Have you tried cleaning the sensor plug and checking the wire to it. IIRC the yellow plug goes to the ecu to control the electric fan, the other goes to the guage. HTH
  3. or do it yourself, not as difficult as it may seem on first look. And no better way to get to know the car than work on it. Alo the benefit of knowing that everything has been done. If you go to the garage route, make sure they do the whole service not just the belt, as that is false economy in my book
  4. Is it a rule?
  5. I have to say that from the point of everyday driving I preferred the NA, it couldnt match the straightline acceleration obviously, but the poer, I felt, was far more controlable, and excellent for getting the back out :)
  6. PMSL @ this. Why not go the whole hog and get a nitrous kit and mount the injectors before the spark plug in your exhaust. Hey presto, instant 4 foot flames at any time due to the nos kits own fuel supply
  7. does "allowed" even enter into it? Wild horse wouldnt drag me away :D
  8. Sorry mac, just read this again, didn realise you were looking for sizes L or XL for my two if its not too late :)
  9. I would pay the fine mate, I stand to be corrected but I think that the "loophole" exists for the situation where an import does not have a space suitable for a standard plate, ie the rear on a jap spec zed which needs a square plate rather than oblong. If you fit an aftermarket bumper, I would imagine it is your responsibility to fit one which will take a standard uk plate, especially as the standard front bumper (uk, jap and 99) will take a standard plate

But to answer your other question, yes there is a subscription to the site. For the paltry sum of £20 you get access to the memebrs section of the site, your own rides section to post pictures of your pride and joy, access to a fantastic font of knowledge on all things zed, the admiration of women, the deals of a lifetime in group buys, cheap things , free things .....the list goes on. Go on, you know it makes sense :)
  11. been there all day mate, best of luck :)
  12. you can use one of the original hose and just bend it over, it doesnt matter if it kinks as it is a branch of the main water system, you wont block the flow. HTH.
  13. you might ask the same questions of someone who doesnt feel right if he doesnt have his bevy on a saturday night? SOme one who comes in after a hard day and is gasping for a beer? such a small thing to me, as I dont feel the need for it.
  14. I used a ring spanner and a rubber faced mallet, worked a treat :)

Got to agree, looking very nice mate. Good workk fella
  17. From a health and safety point of view (i know its boring, but my job) a pit can be considered a confined space. I know the top is open, but (as mentioned by TT Tim) heavier than air gases/ fumes will sit in there. You could climb down into a noxious environ and collapse. The regs dont apply to you as it is not, I presume, a place of work, but you should certainly think about the dangers
  18. What I did was undo the nut until it was only on by a couple of threads and give it a good pull. leave the nut on to prevent any steering wheel in face type moments :)
  19. looks good, always said there is nothiung better than hearing something youve built fir up. Well done to all involved

  22. You sure about that mate? pictures of roadkill?? I carry one cause some muppet hit me on the motorwayt, gave me his details, then when the insurance company contacted him, he denied hje had ever been there. The fact that i had all his details and a description wasnt enough. So next time, there will be pictures :)
