  1. Thank you, nice to get a flash from a fellow zedder
  2. Hi Rob, you can beg to differ all you like, but if you read his post, he only changed the face, and not the whole clock. If you change the whole clock it will read in mph cos it already has the correct resistor on the board to do so. If it didnt read like that in my post then my apologies.
  3. Hi Bud Taking the needle off is always the last resort, as if you dont get off correctly first time or back on, it will never be the same again. You can change the whole speedo clock by removing the 4 screws on the back of the dash pod and if you have a boost gauge, remove also the 4 screws that hold that in, disconnect the small white connector from the rear of the boost gauge and the whole unit will come out. Obviously you will need to take the front cover off the dash pod. There are some faces available that you dont need to take the needle off, they slide over the needle and sit over the top of the old face.
  4. changing to uk clocks alone, will not delimit or convert to mph as the chip is in the ecu. The convertor box tricks the ecu into thinking the car is going slower than it actually is. Also 30kph will then read as 30mph with the box installed. If you want to fit a uk clock so that it says mph, thats fine, but you will have to still fit the convertor box or get your ecu socketed and rechipped. If you search for delimiter in the search box in the tool bar, there are several posts about it. HTH
  5. Black zed flashed me as i was coming off the a272 onto the M23, i was obviously in the yella one. First time ive seen a zed in a while on the road at the same time as me and get flashed aswell ;)
  6. Either the sender unit or you may have fuel in the float. By removing the spare wheel you can get to the sender at the top of the tank, fairly easy job, but as you have filled up, be very careful of the fumes and anything that might cause a spark. I would be inclined to disconnevt the battery when removing the sender unit.
  7. If i remember correctly, the signal is the yellow/green. I will double check ready for you to try tommorrw

  19. Thanks guys, after a few technical glitches:smash: and some intervention from turboz(pete) i can reply to thank you for the welcome. I will do my best to update, create and clean up the faq section and add useful links wherever possible. There is a lot of info and helpful tips, info and how to's around the web that can be added to help those that have trouble finding it or too fricking lazy:mac1: Any suggestions and ideas welcome. As there are alot of newbies arriving daily, i think its a good idea to provide as much helpful info as possible and placed in an more accessible way. Thanks again Graham
  20. Cheers bud, neither can i yet:D, must be a glitch lol
  21. Hi Bud If its a jap model, then as standard it didnt have rear fog lights. There are 3 ways you can go about this 1) buy a cheap rear fog from halfrauds and fit it to get it through the MOT and then remove it after, but bear in mind it is a legal requirement to have a rear fog in this country. 2) convert your offside reverse light to become a fog by splicing into the bulb holder feed to be fed from the new fog switch, then change the bulb to either a red led, which you can also get from halfrauds or a standard red bulb. 3) convert the offside inner brake light to become a fog light. If you need any help on any of these options i have a wiring diagram i can post up, either way you will need a seperate illuminated switch to control the fog light and you will need to run a wire to the rear of the vehicle from the switch. If you need any further help or clarification, just ask. Cheers Graham
  22. I bought some N/A downpipes from them, good quality but designed for a manual gearbox. They were tight on my autobox and wouldnt even fit another N/A auto when i sold them on. Not sure on the turbo pipes, but that was my findings.
  23. In That case, just take out the speedo module, complete with face and place into your original dash housing, that way you dont need to change the oddometer. Also you dont have to worry about connectivity problems.
